Go back and pay attention to the word flush. Yes, if you don’t take measures to remove the ambient air first the nitrogen will simply mix in. But if you flush it sufficiently first it will remove the ambient air more and more until there’s essentially none left, raising the nitrogen percentage above your calculation.

As I posted above, that is not exactly true. It is possible to flush the bladder with nitrogen first and then close a valve and pressurize it while the flush is ongoing. Kinda like how it is possible to completely bleed air from your brakes without having to vacuum the system first. The nitrogen displaces the ambient air just as...

Not arguing if it makes a difference, but you already had the bottle, regulator, and charging setup and didn’t just get a refill? My last bottle lasted me 30 years and hundreds of rebuilds and I just paid $27 to refill it for another 30 years.

I have my nitrogen fill setup configured so that I can flush the bladder, gauge, etc with the nitrogen before closing it off and setting the pressure. It’s not a vacuum but I doubt there’s any meaningful amount of ambient air left in there.

I hate getting old but I'm very thankful to have been a teenager in the 70s. Started racing MX in 72. Had a 1969 Camaro in HS with an Sanyo 8 Track player (had a case in the back seat with 24 8 tracks). You could ride in any open field and nobody complained. And there were a lot of dirt bikes in the 70s. No internet, no social media. Just riding dirt bikes, hanging out with friends and listening to rock. Life was good.

Just wanted to post a little update. I swapped out my pro taper throttle tube with the bearing for a motion pro plastic one and threw some pro taper grips I had laying around. They're the 1/3 waffle mix grips and they feel super soft so I figured it would be better than the full waffle I had on before. Also found some M12 rubber washers that were fairly dense on Amazon and put them under the bar mounts (both sides of the upper clamp) and torqued it down to spec. Man what a difference! I'm not exactly sure how...

Had a blast! Worked a lot early in the week so I could enjoy some time there. Went to the Rockies game on Tuesday, such a cool stadium. It was packed! A lot of Cubs fans there. Rockies got a walk off win in the 9th so the place went nuts. Ate at View House in Englewood for lunch before heading to Arrowhead to play golf on Thursday. Awesome views on the course, along with some wild turkey and mule deer sightings. Thankfully no rattlesnakes. Friday spent the day at the track to watch practice. Walked all the way around...

Bel Ray was bought out by Calumet around that time. They were actually helping customers out that got the super thick batches. A Vital member was an employee there and was assisting folks. Old thread is probably still around.

There is no “pack” in the GP’s. MX2 gates have about 15 total riders. Sascha was probably shocked to see 40 riders on a gate.

when not using the block spacer on the yz250, there is potential for the reeds to contact the inside of the cylinder when opening. Not sure if that was the issue, but it may have been.

It was interwsting at Hangtown this year. No EZ ups allowed on the lower part of the west side. We got there at 7 30 AM and there's already 15 EZ ups blocking the view for potentially hundreds of people. Several 12 by 12 EZ ups had 2 people under them. Track staff got some of them to move, but it literally took multiple sheriff's deputies coming down several times to get some of the jackasses to take down their EZ ups. Got to hear some great dialogs/arguments, haha. Those EZ ups are ridiculous at an event with limited viewing...

Thats good to hear, since the bike runs so well right now i didn't want the changes to mess it up haha. I've heard lots of good about the pro circuit system on the 150's so ill try it out and see how it goes. The r304 itself was a big improvement.

The Vforce will likely make no change since they are pretty much identical to the stock reeds. I’ve use many different pipes and never really needed to adjust jetting. But I never tried the PC pipe. Doubt it would require much jetting change. Never tried the Rad Valve on these bikes. You will have to let us know how that...
