12/13/2025 11:09am Got it, thanks for all the help. I don't plan on getting it absolutely dialed in for the winter as I don't do much winter riding but I'll play with Airscrew/PJ. excited for riding season however. guess I get a little eager haha.

12/12/2025 3:45pm First test with new plug, ran up and down the street. Doesn't die anymore runs. However at a low rpm if I pin it it bogs down signature lean bog, this is like fro near idle and and putting it around i first then pin it bogs. Would this be air screw adjustment, needle, or incorrectly ground slide. Jetting is...

12/11/2025 7:09pm I honestly figured. Before I made all the carb changes, in its stock form it was doing the same thing in the very cold temps but I brushed it off as poor jetting for the weather. I just ordered a new plug. Ill update once I install it. On a side note, how do these settings look as a starting...

12/11/2025 5:08pm Hey all, after grinding my slide to a #5 as per diggers pictures and help, I got my needles as well and ran the bike (2020 ktm 150sx). I ran it with: 520 main 35 PJ 43-74 needle clip 2 #5 slide (ground 1mm from #4) Outside temp: -4° C (25° F) The bike started first kick and idled fine...

12/6/2025 12:20pm I appreciate your opinion and experience and am definitely second guessing doing it, just wondering what are some other entry point where it could possibly enter from other than the ones I mentioned? I might just test it on a small area first to see if it's even worth it or not

12/6/2025 9:17am Im not sure how it can get in there with the sealing off i did. I pulled clitch cover off and make a acrylic block off plate with a gasket and grease. Intake opening and exhaust have a first layer of thick waterproof tape, then many layers of duct tape, then zip lock zip tied onto it and then more...

12/5/2025 6:51pm I've heard others say it's gentle enough and if holes are sealed it won't do damage, and won't get into the engine?

12/5/2025 5:37pm Hey guys i have my ktm 150sx motor out of the frame right now. I am planning on soda blasting it, if unfamiliar it involves using baking soda and an air compressor to blast the surface and get rid of discoloration, dirt, and grime. I have sealed off all the openings I know of, if you have any tips or...

12/3/2025 11:37am Ok thanks for the reply, my very close family friend is a machienest so im having him do it today after work. Ill follow the procedure outlined by others in this thread so hopefully all will go well. Probably will take of a hair under 1mm to play it safe, test then readjust if needed.

12/3/2025 8:59am Also posted this in main thread because I need an answer rather soon, do I or do I not grind this highlighted portion of the slide to go from #4 to #5. My understanding is i don't touch this part and grind the out arch up to this point. However looks like this person did grind it.

12/3/2025 8:58am Just as a confirmation as I will be grinding my slide to a #5 from a #4 i do not grind the highlighted portion in the image below, I blend up to that portion correct? (The image used is from someone else in the thread and it looks like they actually did grind this part?)

12/1/2025 9:28am Interesting, and thank you for taking your time to measure! Just curious however that previous messages all said take 1mm off to get from a 4 to a 5. Im assuming your measurements are closer to what it should be?

11/27/2025 5:34pm Yes I know the stic pwk is next level but that would be even more out of my budget. The most I would do is just a regular Ole pwk from keihin jetted for my bike. Stock for stock does the mikuni compare do you think? Also im hoping diggers specs get me pretty bang on which a lot of...

11/27/2025 7:46am Do you think I can get the mikuni running as good as a keihin with diggers spec and slide mod ect? I would like to not break the bank on a keihin unless I have to lol

11/27/2025 7:44am If you could measure the width that would be great!

11/26/2025 2:31pm Yea ok I think I got it. The depth of the cutaway basically how far into the slide it goes stays the same, like it ends on the same edge just the outer arch gets grinder larger and blended. Like you said, top right of my Pic and bottom left

11/26/2025 11:06am So I do remove material from the sides of the arch then. I saw in a previous message someone said not to make it wider though. Opinions on this?
