The consequences of "grow the sport" keep hitting the fans harder and harder. DC has already tried to use flo for Pro Moto, and it ended up as a shit show. If pro moto does not continue on a major network, ie NBC, FOX, CBS, you are going to see a lot of pissed off sponsors, especially with how the sports gained popularity in the last few years. Your normal joe blow has Peacock, they dont have Flo Racing. Example of this, DC has always bragged about the viewer analytics from GNCCs Racer TV streams, such as 10-20K views in a weekend, but with Flo, i bet it drops down to 1500, if...

Why isn't this just aired on Peacock... The infrastructure is already there, they have decent film crews, and the viewership already has the subscription. No chance I'm paying some unheard of streaming service another fee to watch this race. This Flo thing smells like the time they tried to air the nationals on that second rate streaming service that never worked.

AMA will not be going to Freestone anytime soon. Freestone recently started a new sanctioning body called NMA. National Motorcyclist Association. All there races and race series are now the new NMA.

As others have said, total greedy money grab by MX Sports. When you hear the actual cost of the ranch, there’s no way it’s sustainable at those prices. The luster is gone, with SMX Next, combines, even Canadian Nationals proving a more valuable experience for the next generation of pros. It’ll die off like the Golden State Series back in the day. I wouldn’t pay a dollar to these greedy bastards, and I’m probably not alone in those sentiments.

Data point for them: I watched a significant number of races last year, I will watch zero this year. I’ll be interested in their viewership and how it translates to revenue vs. youtube and ads.

It’s well beyond the point of a business making money, which I’ve got zero issues with. It’s straight greed. Does DC and mx sports really need all the $ from what should be a $10 fee to pump the sewage out of my rv? It’s all for their love of the sport though right? We did it last year, got the souvenir bib on the shop wall, won’t go back. It won’t stop until people stop feeding the beast.

Less exposure for the little guys equals less sponsorship dollars. So they're either incredibly stupid or all this talk about 'growing the sport' is BS. Looks alot more like growing personal bank accounts than growing the sport to me. How does less exposure grow anything?

Dude nobody cares about cap vs ops spending, they took something that worked for everyone and decided to monetize it for no other reason than greed. They weren't losing money on LL's week, but saw another way to increase their profit and took it at the expense of their core fans. It's a money grab, period.
