KennyT Liked a reply to forum topic Fox Raceway round 1 VIP tickets what to expect

I have done the VIP at Pala for 4 years straight and feel it’s worth every cent. My suggestion is to get to the track early, 7-8am. Find a spot in the VIP section at the front and park the chairs you need up against the fence for the best viewing. Once the races start you will have the hundred or so patrons crowding the fence and its best to be in the front by the chainlink. I grab the far right or left corners so you don’t have people crowding you from both sides. Those spots will be n...

First new bike since 2007 YZ250F and I'm very satisfied with it. Put a link on it and a few suspension adjustments and its great. Totally stock motor except for the slip on and gearing and I have no complaints. I'll be a Suzuki guy till I quit riding.

About as good as you are going to get for what you are trying to accomplish. Old school cool with new tech in them as well: https://www.hrpsports.com/category-s/1828.htm (HRP stands for Hannah racing products)

TeamGreen Liked a reply to forum topic Is the RM-Z the best 450 ever built?

Rode & raced the RMZ 2018-2019… Won races at Day in the Dirt, won bears at Mammoth…had a blast on that bike. That’s why I asked for it after the 2018 Shootout…I could tell it was simply an awesome chassis and an easy motor. Put a Yoshimura systems on it, ran the white-plug (lean) w/VP-R fuel, had the suspension done by Factory Connection and changed the ergonomics to suit me: bars, grips, Guts seat, pegs…etc. Put a Rekluse race clutch kit in it (no, not an auto-clutch). Ran good Motorex oil that I think Yosh recommended. Put some nice Dubya...

DJBobbyD Added a reply to New chest protection rule

4/7/2026 8:18am
Those chest protectors were all produced in house. My sister worked there in the 70's and I worked there in the late 80's. The plastic pieces were cut and formed at a local plastic company in San Diego and then an employee would glue each pad to the plastic pieces and attached all the straps and arm guards with rivets...

“We did everything on this 350 build that we’ve done on every 350 we’ve built for the last ten years. We did everything under the sun, sent the ECU to Twisted Development, Decal Works graphics and seat cover, and Dunlop Tires. Thanks to Dunlop for sponsoring this video.” Followed by 2 minutes of warming the bike up in the pits, 2 clips of it on the track, and then 10 minutes of rambling about tunable ECUs and acting like it’s the first one to ever exist.

When I first started a family, I really struggled with these types of feelings, and I pretty much completely scaled back my riding and racing until my kids got older. It really is a dangerous sport, and I can relate to all of your situations, but for me I think that having a new bike really helped with the confidence...
Thanks, brother! Haha...that was the most frustrating part of losing weight! I would buy new clothes and 1 month later, they wouldn't fit! I went from 36"-38" waist to 30" waist now...so I have a bunch of 34 jeans that don't fit and are like new. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I have this problem, but it was a waste of money! But considering how much money I spend on buying new dirt bikes and dirt bike parts, this is minor! Check out this PLUMP fella 🤣: Here is the new fit and trim version, lol:

This is the best encouragement we can give to our moto brothers. I am short, only 5’5. I quit riding around 09 and gained so much weight. Boredom, depression, no hobby like MX. In 2023 I was at my worst. 247LB. I ruptured 3 discs and budged 2 others in a work accident. I was fat, injured, helpless. I hated feeling that way, like a burden to my wife and kids. While recovering from surgery I was reading the 2023 450 shootout and told myself it was time to ride again. I needed motivation to get off of the couch...

Dude! You can have all of that minus the beer. Pasta should not be eaten at night IMO. Rice is great, cook it yourself. Bread is another daytime food for me but a staple. I love bread. Either make it or buy Dave's green bag (oil free). Cereal - another staple of mine. Simple cereals like plain Cheerios, rice crispies, shredded wheat are oil and sugar free. I eat TONS of rice crispies with vanilla whey and honey. Best workout fuel there is eaten about 1.5 hours ahead of time. There are also plenty of ice creams with no oil...

I started intermittent fasting on Nov. 29, the 16-8 plan. My window to eat is between noon and 8pm. Started at 5'10" 209lb, office job and laziness been kicking my ass. Late night snacking was packing on the pounds too. I've lost 4lb doing really nothing but eating 2 reasonable meals a day and not snacking. Been feeling a little better lately, I only really get "hungry" close to noon, so its been pretty easy to stick to my window. Main "workout" lately has been keeping up with my 16 month old toddler, and I get 10k steps a day...

In 2000 I turned 28 and quit because I thought I was too old and it was time to grow up. I came back from Iraq in 2004 with a new appreciation for how short and precious life can be, and questioned why I had ever bought into that bullshit mentality. (Which is sort of poetic, since "scrambles" really took off when WWII vets came back and needed an outlet). So I bought another bike and got back to racing in the +30 class, and it turned out to be WAY more fun than I had ever had in my...

I'm 68, fat and slow. I don't have a boat, Harley, snowboard, jet ski, classic car or a side chick so it's moto till I can't. I don't see an end in sight. I ride with a friend that is 64 and an incomplete quadriplegic. He was injured at an amateur San Diego SX. He leans his KTM 350 on a tree or fence, has a Rekluse and a left hand rear brake. Shuffles on a walker. I have to help him on and off the bike like my kids when they were small. Unload and load his bike. I...

66 here. Race Moto approx 15-20 weekends per year. Several years back was thinking about quitting, hucking those 70-90’ booters to be competitive was definitely not in my plans. But then I got introduced to Vintage MX and was the best thing I’ve ever done. Super fun and very competitive ,but a little bit safer for old bodies , but still get to line up against guys like Trampas Parker, Trey Jorski, Tom Benolkin ,Joe Gretchen , Denny Schwartz and a bunch of other fast dudes and Legends from my era . Also was lucky enough to win both the...

I'm 52 and have been riding since I was 7. Took it seriously in my mid 20's and got a lot faster and did better racing than I ever thought I would, so I have no regrets. I have always had a bike in my garage and for some stupid reason I just can't stop wanting to ride so I...
