I owned a 17. Engine was plenty powerful. Bike was very stable at high speeds and while cornering, but it was not “nimble”. No complaints about the suspension. Coming from mainly ktm’s and going back to a 19 350 sxf, the ktm is much more willing to change directions at any moment. I enjoy that aspect for the tighter tracks/trails I often ride. First, we should absolutely go and send the best available. However a few things some of the Euro's are being quite disingenuous about. 1. The distance from Paris to Moscow is almost 1,000 less miles than it is from Washougal to Unadilla. So when a rider from Austria hops on a plane, drives, etc from Vienna to Assen (705 miles) is only 70 more miles than it is from Dallas to El Paso...... This brings me into point 2 2. This event is extremely catered to GP riders, all of their teams are HQ'd in Europe, all of their families...

I've been a LONG time Honda guy (ever since superminis on a crf150r in 2009), so it was definitely tough for me to make this change. I've actually been pretty vocal about my dislike for the Austrian bikes in the past! However, after riding one of my friend's 2019 KTM 450 in stock trim, I couldn't deny it anymore....the Austrian bikes are better in almost every way than all of the 2019 Jap bikes I've ridden.
