I got this 87 cr500 for a decent price, missing a few things. I only paid 18 bucks for it, so it seemed like a great deal, just missing a few things. This is how it looked when I got it. I re-built my CR500 over the winter/spring. It's a '99 although it doesn't really matter what year it is seeing as they're all the same from what, 1992? I had restored it when I first got it about 5 years ago but used it last year and it needed some clean-up again. I didn't intend to go to town on it, just tidy it up. I'm getting ready to start a build for a good friend of mine on his 2007 CR250. I've been putting it off for longer than I care to admit, and have decided to make time to get it done. We have a pretty healthy budget, so hoping to throw some decent parts at it and spend a good bit of time cleaning it up. Morning guys! Pumped to share our completed YZ500 build with you. We used a BRC Racing YZM500 prototype engine, complete with exhaust valve & counter balancer.
