3/24/2023 11:46am Currently building my 1988 CR500 The bike itself is a tidy original running bike so don’t need any parts to fix it up. With that being said I’m looking for some cool/rare parts to add to the build. Drop me a message on here or comment if you have something, cheers

2/24/2023 1:35pm I got this 87 cr500 for a decent price, missing a few things. I only paid 18 bucks for it, so it seemed like a great deal, just missing a few things. This is how it looked when I got it. On the surface it looked a lot better than it actually was.
But then when I put a compression checker on it i got nothing. I could see thru the intake port that the piston was worn. Pulled the jug. Rod felt good. Sent the jug to Eric Gorr for a bore job and piston. Next up was...

2/20/2023 11:19am I re-built my CR500 over the winter/spring. It's a '99 although it doesn't really matter what year it is seeing as they're all the same from what, 1992? I had restored it when I first got it about 5 years ago but used it last year and it needed some clean-up again. I didn't intend to go to town on it, just tidy it up. Hence I didn't re-powder-coat the frame as it wasn't too bad. There were a few chips off the frame rails which I just touched up and covered with white vinyl (which is now peeling off...

2/20/2023 10:50am I'm getting ready to start a build for a good friend of mine on his 2007 CR250. I've been putting it off for longer than I care to admit, and have decided to make time to get it done. We have a pretty healthy budget, so hoping to throw some decent parts at it and spend a good bit of time cleaning it up. I've also been working on my setup and have added several new things (parts washer, vapor blaster, stainless tear down table, suspension vise and more) so I'm pumped to try it all out on this build...

2/20/2023 10:49am Worked on the front hub tonight. Got it to a place I’m happy with. I think after putting in the work I am going to leave them raw/polished. I think it will go along with the other parts on the bike nicely. Here are some photos, I still have to do the rear.

2/18/2023 11:42am I have always wondered about this picture of James Bubba Stewart testing a CR125R. I never knew about it back in the days but ever since I have seen the picture I have wanted to build a JS259 replica CR125R dreaming about having both JS259 & RC4 on the same team. James doesn't look to happy and after owning a few early 2000s CR125s I am sure the Honda was probably not close to the power he had from his factory KX125 but maybe it was just a stomach bug. The proof he rode it but these are the only...

Remember when GuyB belittled a member for no apparent reason because his profile pic was an AR15? Then the member basically asked “wtf?” and was promptly banned? Glad those days are behind us.

2/4/2023 12:32pm The search function works as poorly as it did ten years ago. Same with PM’s. This is the only forum I’ve ever used that they are awful on. The likes/dislikes seems childish. They don’t need to be here but since they are, downvotes should not be anonymous it just encourages troll behavior. I still visit here more than anywhere else on the net so you’re doing something right, just wish those functions would come out of the stone age.

2/3/2023 11:59am I’ve fitted the all balls kit with the relevant bearings and spacers and the steering stem is still loose in the headstock of the frame. It’s wobbling around slightly as if the bearing isn’t tightening down properly. Anyone else come across this before??
