Well it has been doing just that in a way. That's how they operate at a deficit. And the rest of this is more of a general post rather than anything directly in response to your post. Its crazy to look at the budgets over the years and see how it almost doubled in 2020 from covid after staying around 3.5 to 4T the previous 10 years. and its just kept going up. How are we spending almost $1T more now than during Covid? I would think that the 2022 or 23 budget would have been less than peak handing...

Not only a $5k check, gas under $2 and a win in the war against Iran IF republicans hold the majority.................... What next? Quotes and other words below from Baltimore's channel 11 news. "Right after the election, oil prices are going to be tumbling downward. They're going to be tumbling down, and we'll get them down. I think for gasoline we'll get them below $2 a gallon," Trump said. The war with Iran, which has lasted more than six months, is one factor behind rising gas prices. Trump predicted the conflict will end after the midterms if Republicans are re-elected...

A dividend is a distribution of profits. There are no profits, quite the opposite. That leaves a vote buy. A big one.

That's almost a banger, if not for the illegals targeting because the vast majority oppose illegal immigration, so there's too much disparity in the size of the groups they're attempting to compare, but the general point does a good job pointing out some degree of hypocrisy. I don't oppose it based on bribery though, because technically a politician offering anything that people want could be considered as bribery. I dislike it because math. And really @APLMAN99 is being extremely generous by offering "dividend" as a possibility, because we're going to add $2 Trillion to debt this year, so it's not...

I think it's more like Biden promising $10,000.00 in student loan forgiveness during the 20' campaign. I really don't see a big difference but then again, I didn't vote for either one.

Anyone else Notice how his promised check has been inflation increased? All Americans are greatly struggling to make ends meet so here is your promised balloon So when he fails to win he is going to once again blame the democrats and the cult will believe him when it is his fuckup

And you his hated him for it. So surely you’d hate this idea too. Or it’s ok if your team wins?

Your immediate impulse to somehow try to deflect from and defend your savior is showing through again.......

Same place the rest of the deficit spending does, mortgaging the soul and the pocketbook of our country........

Crazy...where does the money come from? Over taxed folk?

Without just pointing at somebody else and saying they did the same thing. First off they didn't do the same thing, they actually sent out checks and worked to cancel student loans. Is it worse to just say what you think will get a vote with no effort made to make the promises happen, or to deliver on the promises? How do you feel this reflects on Trump and how he feels about how things are going? Are they going not so great and people could really use some money? Or are things as good as they can get under...

My apologies, a “Person”, is smart. “People”, are stupid, scared, panicky herd animals………

Show me the MONEY! Oh, wait……….. Comes a point you’re just insulting people’s intelligence.

It was dumb when Biden did it...it was dumb when Bush did it...and its dumb when Trump is trying to do it....it's just stupid... Inflation higher than it should be...country in $40T of debt....so lets devalue the dollar further, while increasing demand for goods...facepalms all the way around...

Lol...I'd put that "promise" on the pile of lies he's already told but I can't reach that high.

You forgot the ‘it’s all BS and will never happen’ option.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard...complete desperation...it's insanity. If the country had no debt, and an extra $1.3T in the "bank" and he wanted to do that...I could possibly, maybe, but still not likely, get behind something like this IF (and only if) It wasn't tied to a particular party winning an election... Trump is pissing me off...

Let me guess it will be on day 1 like his other failed promises?

Desperation.

Normal results will follow come next weekend.
