Cost effective option: I'm pretty sure the KTM's have really good OE pipes, and with just a silencer they usually wake up even more. Cool factor: PC works finish all the way! Haha it takes WAY more prep and an investment in scotch-brite pads, but it's hard to beat the old-school factory look.

13/52 was stock for your bike, with most recommending 13/53 as the go-to sizing. Try going up one on the countershaft (may require a longer chain, unfortunately)...With this change you'll require less shifting, effectively lengthening each gear. If you leave your 12t, you can also go down to 49/50 on the rear to much the same effect. 12/49 was actually...

As others have suggested, HD tubes are a wise investment, and you can also run a 110-90/19 if you're currently running a 120-80...Way less HP at 8,000' (especially if you aren't going to run decent fuel)! MX3S or Pirelli MXMS are solid Mammoth tires...
Can't wait till the 250 class is just that: 250cc's, regardless of engine type. Throw in the new Alta bikes and I'm sure you'll see more than 40 riders showing up...Also agree on the open homologation theory: If a bike is fit to ride, let em' ride! I don't care if Honda hasn't released a CR250 since 2007, I'd still...

Travis, thanks for the information! One minor glitch - Trying to order a cover right now, and am getting this error message: DISCOUNT CODE IS INCORRECT OR COUPON IS EXPIRED Copied it straight from your last post, not sure what the problem is? Ends after today, correct? Thanks Again

Thanks for posting and good rides! I agree that the cost is quite steep for Amateur Days, but at least you guys raced on about 90% of the National track. At GH this year, they cut at least 30% of the National track out; missing the Saddleback Peaks, the entire back Canyon, the uphill rhythm jumps, and all the way...

The story begins here: http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Such-is-Life-GH-Two-Strok… And culminates with a Top-10 finish after four laps of racing on one of the toughest tracks I’ve ever had the pleasure of riding. However, the details in-between are what made my day… Every invitee received an email on May 26th stating that we had to check-in at 7A, get settled into the pits, and...

Ole' #8 on Saturday...Highlight after the moto was seeing DH19 in the pits and conveying a quick "Hello", "amazing with your RAAM participation", and "Thank You" for being such a legend!

Endurance wise: WP32 - Second race back from injury in SX, hanging it out there, racing back into shape, and carding a 5th O/A! Actually, all three RMZ pilots (Tickle, Bogle, and Peick) in the 2nd moto were freight training 4-5-6 at speed... Sheer speed: JM6 and DF108...Two completely different styles, but such great pace

It's a stand alone, open class race at Glen Helen only, dubbed as aTwo Stroke Invitational; It's not part of the 3-race 125 series happening at Hangtown/Thunder Valley/Washougal. oldblood: I'm glad you're digging the two stroke races, but you can't let them get you so giddy! Haha here's hoping someone has some actual race results to post to keep this...

I enjoyed the heck out of the day! *Alessi/Schehr/Champion/LaFountaine (sp?) were flying (or so I'm told, as I never saw them), *22 riders (as GH originally planned for +/-25 participants), and it was a solid format test for a 125cc race in the future...

JPA: Not sure how much endurance can be shown or who, industry/team manager speaking, Malcolm could impress by racing a 10 minute, Invitational race, early in the days schedule, before the track gets National level hammered...All that information aside, I'd love to see him tear it up! Would be great for the fans, even if it's simply just for fun...

crc245 Started a new thread RC RM250: What's it Worth?

5/26/2017 9:27am
Not mine, unfortunately, but asking for a good friend. Bike is littered with factory titanium and aluminum bolts/washers, Showa kit suspension, RG3 triples, RC4 stamped PC pipe and OG carbon silencer, unobtainable pieces, etcetera. Not 100% sure, but I believe it has a tight ratio SX transmission.

Would love to throw my hat in the ring, assuming there's an opening to keep articles like this away from publication... http://motocrossactionmag.com/ask-mxperts-keihin-fcr-fuel-screw-know/ If I'm not mistaken, 2009 was the last carbureted YZ450F...The fuel screw tech tips are spot-on, and one can only assume there was some confusion over a 2013 year model YZ250F or YZ450F. Don't even get me started...
