preferred pipe for KTM 250sx?
Any difference or basically all the same?
MXA reviews both, but shows no dyno, only dyno I can find is Scalvini which looks great.
Strictly motocross, southwick type tracks.......
Worth the price or spend money on tires and recluse..(and lessons)Smile

I was really happy with PC on my last 250sx but I have Bud/HGS on the 2017. It still has the bite down low but revs out nicer if I don't want to shift early. I almost went with the Scalvini but didn't want to pay more and my last Scalvini silencer broke.

I put a PC Platinum and Factory Sound Silencer on my TX300. It, without a doubt, makes more power everywhere.

If you really want more power, get an RK Tek head.

How is the quality of the Bud/HGS pipe/silencer setup?

I think it's really good, I've had several pipes and even more Buds carbon silencers. Ideally, I'd like a hard mount for the silencer rather than the floating design but just check them periodically. The pipes work really well and I had one on a CR 125 I sold a few months ago. After almost 10 hours it didn't even have one minor ding in it. My stock pipes get dings in the front by looking at them weird.

Cost effective option: I'm pretty sure the KTM's have really good OE pipes, and with just a silencer they usually wake up even more.

Cool factor: PC works finish all the way! Haha it takes WAY more prep and an investment in scotch-brite pads, but it's hard to beat the old-school factory look.

Mine was terrible I'll leave it at that.
