His 2nd moto, at least, sure reminded me of Seb Tortelli working everyone at Glen Helen in '99...my goodness what a 2nd moto ride by ferrandis today!

Except Tortelli was a 2 time world champ and destroyed the best talent of the 90s in the premier class including McGrath, Larocco, Pichon, Windham, Albertyn, Lusk and more!
He was outside the top 20 both Moto's and rode through everyone like they were beginners.

He is one of the few to beat Herlings straight up (in 250 class at JH best). Ferandis is no joke.

I think there's a chance that he's just faster than everyone and that his learners curve is the only thing holding him back

I don't think he is quite Tortelli.

But when you have been chasing the fastest 250 rider in the world for three years you are going to gain some speed.

Herlings has brought all those guys on, people thought they weren't fast behind him but they were, he was just that much better.

Ferrandis has never won a moto by that much in MX2, even when Herlings was injured. So props to him on a great ride. He got a bit unlucky at Hangtown but consistency has always been Dylan's problem not his speed.

The last two MXGP champs came from MX2 and Ferrandis wins in the first moto he gets a good start... so I think the MX2 guys behind Herlings have proven themselves not to be as bad as the people tried to make out.

I would like to see what would have happened had Jeremy Martin not gone down. I think he and Ferrandis have similar raw speed when they are at their best, and that could be a pretty awesome battle for the win!

I don't see him being consistent enough to take it from the US riders, we will see.

There is a galaxy of difference between one good moto leading from the front in the boys class and catching everybody from deep in the pack in the men's class both motos.

Tortelli's ride was other worldly, might be worth another watch.

Maybe not this year. I think he will get atleast a 250sx title and an out door title.

Yeah that was crazy. I have it on an old vhs tape somewhere and I'm pretty sure someone has it posted on youtube.
