I loved motocross growing up and even raced Davey Coombs back in the late 70’s at the High Point Mini Bike Nats. Afterwards, my dad said, do you want a car or two 125’s? You can’t have both. I caved to peer pressure as my neighborhood friends never understood the attraction. My kid was better than I ever was, but he couldn’t be pushed or he would fold. It was very frustrating for someone with my competitive nature. Motocross is hard whether you are black, white, purple or from Mars. Not sure I’ll buy the grandchild...

Setup on used bikes is a rarity, but it makes sense if they have to go through a bike and do a tune up. And a $400 setup fee is just them trying to make a little money. You know, kind of like anyone who owns a business? They have to make money somewhere when everyone and their mother comes in asking "what's your best price OTD?" Running a shop dedicated to motocross is a tough business. We expect the best but aren't willing to pay for it. This industry is definitely not about making shitloads of money.

X2. Flame away but i personally find a full fledged mudder to be about as exciting as a football game played in a foot of snow or watching a bloopers show. Ok for about 10min then the novelty starts to wear off... Oh well, better than nothing at all i suppose but 1/5th as fun as the alternative...

On a related note, that new 300 is pretty much the perfect bike for me. I’ve been holding off buying another bike and was leaning toward the crf250f, but the 5 speed and conventional fork wasn’t making me too jazzed about it. I think the klx300r is a pretty great alternative to the old kdx200. Glad to see the play/trail segment finally get a bike that’s not just the most basic of platforms

What law is that specifically? To the OP, most manufacturers lost the destination charge on their website and it varies by model. A side x side is usually double that of a bike as it costs more to ship (size, weight, etc.). Our dealership would normally try and tack on $100 to the destination charge because you're usually dropping your pants on the sale price (have to Male a profit somewhere). I never felt comfortable adding the extra cost to the destination so I eventually stopped doing it, I would charge exactly what the manufacturer charged. It's a cost that...
