A few things Tony is getting used to: the shorter American frame and Dunlop tires. When you’re multi time world champion, at his age, he knows how to set up a bike. There are no points paid on PRESS DAY, and nothing to prove. He’s there to have fun, but at the same time set the bike up to his liking. I’m not stressing him cruising. AC used to do that a fair bit in MXGP practice sessions. He'd just cruise around on the pegs and pull in.

I have seen him having rough days before where he looked uncomfortable and barely rode. This was on saturdays during race weekends or even in the week prior when KTM hired our local track. He will be there this weekend. Dungey is looking good though! Very excited to see these legends on the gate this weekend

In theory, 222 should clean up at the nationals. He was a podium guy if not winning outdoor races 3 months after any of the ama boys last raced anything outdoor. How you can even compare 222 to the 5 who hasn't even raced in 6 years is just ludicrous

I'm always startled by how sensitive the pros are to bike changes. I mean, I don't go anywhere near as fast, so obviously I don't understand. However, I've crashed hard, bent my bars, and then gotten completely used to my new bar bend in two laps - to the point that I don't realize the bars are bent. When a pro claims that the flex characteristics of one frame to another causes a new machine which is 99.99999% the same to be "completely unrideable," it makes me wonder if that's just a wild excuse.
