I’ll never forget watching Tony at MXDN Red Bud ‘18. After a bad start (crash?) he was plowing through the muddy field of riders, screaming at his competition to get out of his way, sometimes throwing up his hands in frustration. His level of passion for the sport and- the pride he shows when tasked with representing Italy, is simply unbelievable. He’s a ******* savage.

Yeah i was busy trying to stay up on the uphill triple after the start, that damn thing was a mud slide. I was more impressed with Prado on the day and Coldenhauff(sp?) Also a noteworthy addition was the lovely ladies who were practicing dancing without clothing in the B lot. Bless their hearts

Hopefully the inbreds that swear and throw shit at foreign riders stay home to hang out with their sister instead of finding their way to the tracks this year. I would love to see more riders make the trek over.

I love seeing pro riders out on the tracks with kids on mini-bikes.... those kids have to be jazzed.

I feel like Tony is one of those rare guys who is universally respected. I think the fans will be very kind to him. They should be. Who wouldn’t want to see one of the greatest ever race in person?

I just hope that him and Dungey can show some flashes of their brilliances

Seriously, if any of you guys get near Tony in person, be sure to bow to this motocross legend. The most humble champion we've ever seen. Understand, he has no trainer... fully self motivated. Think about that.

Swear I'm still getting more excited every day to watch Tony at the Nationals. I know this adds sweet F.A to the discussion, but it's gonna be awesome.

I don't even care about the Euro Vs US angle, just that it was already looking like a great season and now we've got this too... Gotta love it.

We have a lot of tracks that suit Cairoli's MXGP style:

Glen Helen
High Point
Millville
Washougal
Budds Creek
Unadilla
Ironman

I'm a big TC222 fan but I think people might be hyping this up a bit. He's certainly older and is technically retired, and was fading in ability when he stopped racing MXGP. I think he might have some flashes, and maybe be quick early on, but I'll be honest I think he'd be lucky to be in the top 5 by the final flag.

Championship favorite and consistent podiums - no chance I'd say.

But I'd love to be wrong on that.

I tend to agree. He's 37 years old this year, doesn't train like he use to and as recent years have shown, he picks up so many little injuries through the season.

I just can't see him racing all twelve, unless he, Jill and Chase are loving life over there! I expect him to race a few, go back to Italy, prepare better and return for the last few to prove he's ready to represent Italy with the number one plate at the MXdN where he will go wfo!

Agreed . I think he will be really fast but I doubt very much that he is interested in the grind of a full season anywhere . He will be ready for MXON , that is the plan I believe .
