chump6784 Added a reply to MXA continues to disprove the 250 vs 250 myth.
9/3/2011 11:41am haven't read the article but i am guessing it will be the same as the yz vs yzf test they did a couple years ago, the 2 stroke turned the fastest and the slowest lap time, the f turned the most consistent.
just my guess

chump6784 Added a reply to 2 strokes coming back???
9/3/2011 2:16am just got back from the local races today and there were 2 strokes in every class except the unlimited A+B, they were all 450's. Junior lites, senior lites and vets had 2 strokes in them. there werent heaps in them but there were a couple in each class. a couple years ago there was hardly a 2 stroke at the...
chump6784 Added a reply to 2 strokes coming back???
9/2/2011 4:05pm i have noticed this in oz too. just over a year ago i got back into riding and went to an mx park and my wife and i were the only ones with 2 strokes. went back there about 2 months ago and there were probably 30% 2 strokes.
racing is still dominated by 4 strokes but the practice day...

chump6784 Added a reply to Switching from 250f to 250 2 stroke
8/30/2011 11:38pm They aren't as powerful as a 450 but they will throw ya if you aren't concentrating. If you have ridden 125's you will be fine. The main difference you will find from the 125 is the power off the bottom and through the mid, there is heaps more. Bottom end on the 250 is much like the 250f but then...

8/30/2011 11:28pm Looks like a few people are scared that old technology can beat the latest and greatest for less cost but more fun
chump6784 Added a reply to Question to parents with kids riding mx
8/30/2011 4:59am from reading the posts here it seems like the tracks in the US are pretty gnarly. in australia they have gotten rid of triples and pretty much got rid of doubles as well. only fairly small doubles exist along with table tops and, step up/step downs and camel back jumps. these changes were happening when i was racing in the...
chump6784 Added a reply to Question to parents with kids riding mx
8/29/2011 5:02am When I was racing as a kid my dad pushed me to do the best I could without crashing or getting hurt. Obviously I still crashed and still got hurt but as long as I gave it my best he was happy. Another family we used to pit with, the father would push his kid that it was win at...

chump6784 Added a reply to Motocross or Supercross
7/18/2011 7:46pm Both have been good but I prefer supercross. I have a short attention span and generally within the first 20 minutes of a moto the field is kinda spread out
chump6784 Added a reply to would the finishes remain the same
7/17/2011 5:26pm Reed said that before he did the Australian Super X he got to ride a few different brands that he had never ridden, Honda and KTM, and he loved the Honda and that is why he bought one. Stewart also said that when Reed went to Kawasaki he wouldn't do well on it because it didn't suit his riding style...

7/7/2011 8:16pm My wife is about 5'7 and 120 lbs and I bought her a rm 125. its her first bike but she has gotten pretty comfortable on it. she can pick it up if she drops it and the power isn't too much to scare her.all I have done to it is wind the preload right off and push the forks...
chump6784 Added a reply to puremx - new motocross game for the iphone
7/6/2011 1:45am There is a game for Droid called freestyle dirt bike. It is on the android market or Google for free. Seems very similar to supercross 2xl for iPhone. On market it days you need a phone of minimum 800 mhz, my HTC aria, 600 mhz runs it but can be laggy. Good game tho

chump6784 Added a reply to best bike for big, new rider
6/17/2011 10:44pm Go the 250 2 stroke. I am 5'11 and about 200 pounds and although my wifes 125 pulls me round pretty well riding my rm 250 is so much better. You will have to be a little careful with the throttle when you first start with it but it won't take long to get used to it. I used to...

6/12/2011 9:22pm how would you propose a HP for HP class would work. Would you take standard hp figures out of the box or would it be how much power could be extracted from the engine. if you take engines out of the box with say 40hp and then a privateer puts on an exhaust and does some engine and headwork and...
