10/5/2025 3:10pm You’d rather have Deegan who gooned himself into an injury 2 weeks before the MXoN? By your logic, he didn’t even make it as far as practice before putting himself out of contention.

10/5/2025 2:46pm He should have safely cruised in to a top 15 finish instead of trying to boost his team to a potential win, according to some.

10/5/2025 2:42pm I’m not sure why you aren’t on the committee, or better yet, team manager. Your knowledge knows no bounds! So this was your takeaway after going to the race of the year and then leaving early to beat traffic. Yea no for sure, you are as hard core as they get.

10/5/2025 2:35pm 100% needs something - went to the MXoN at home, left early, then went online to throw a fellow countrymen (who rode his heart out for the flag!) under the bus. What a whopper!

10/1/2025 7:36am I don’t disagree with your sentiment. Due to a combination of tariffs and foreign currency exchange. The cost to import a motorcycle has increased 15-30% since earlier this year. I think we’re going to see a lot more than a few hundred dollar increase in MSRP’s as a result and that’s why I started this thread, to bring it to...

10/1/2025 7:24am It would be nice if the tariff were calculated on the value of the raw material but it’s on the value of the finished product. When this news first broke I think everyone had their hopes up that it was what you’re suggesting, but if’s not.

10/1/2025 7:08am There are US companies that make steel components, I’m not sure where their steel is smeltered, if it’s in the USA then they would not be impacted.. By all means, we should support them when you buy an aftermarket rotor, sure. I don’t imagine the OEM’s are all going to start speccing their bikes with US made steel, though, it...

9/30/2025 8:43pm I can tell you how they’re being implemented.. As a consumer, imagine ordering a replacement brake rotor from a retailer in Europe or Japan and you will be charged 65% tariffs by the broker to clear it through customs. That $150 rotor will cost you almost $250. This is what importers are now dealing with. Nobody can absorb that, it’s...

9/30/2025 8:27pm The HTS (import tariff) codes for 250-499cc, 800cc+ motorcycles and motorcycle parts are included in section 232 aluminum/steel tariffs for steel composition but not aluminum. That is fortunate, because if it included the aluminum components too, you’d be looking at 70+% of the bike. Add up the weight of a frame, hardware, axles, bushings, footpegs, bearings, clutch, transmission, flywheel, crank...

9/30/2025 7:33pm This isn’t a political thread, if that’s what you mean. It’s a pretty important topic and it would be nice if people could check their politics at the door. Regardless of why the tariffs are in place or who put them there. It’s something we’re going to be effected by and the industry is scrambling to figure out how to...
CaptainOblivious Started a new thread Additional 50% steel tariffs on 250-499cc bikes and parts
9/30/2025 5:41pm I’m surprised that no one is talking about this, unless I missed the thread. If things weren’t challenging enough, here’s more trouble. All of the OEM’s are now having to pay, in addition to the 15% (or higher in some cases depending on the country of manufacture) a 50% tariff on the portion of the bike that is made of...
