Just left the track.

RJ should never be allowed to race for team USA ever again. That was actually one of the biggest choke jobs I’ve ever seen in person.

And then to crash a SIXTH time and just pull off and give up….

I don’t know what place we got but if we podiumed, he shouldn’t be up there with them.

The screen is a mile away from everyone.

Dipped with two laps left. Got work in the morning.

You better sober up before you go back to work.

You should take a second and reflect why even people from other countries think you are acting like shit against your own team.

Name the rider you believe should have rode instead of RJ that would have put up a better result, l’ll wait.

Some of you fans got the most hollow patriotism I have ever seen as soon as you don’t win.

Literally cooper Webb wouldn’t have crashed 6 times and we probably end up dropping one of Justin coopers motos.

Even barcia.

There are certain guys you just don’t send to this race. You have to send clutch riders.

Why no hate for Cooper...

There’s no hate for cooper because he didn’t crash like 9 times and dnf. And JCoop has raced every single race he’s entered this year. I’m very happy that rj stepped up for chase, but he chose the wrong race to bring back the 250 rick. I applaud RJ for getting up after every crash though. He contributed to this second place as much as everyone else on the team. Yeah he dnf’d, but we got second after all that happened these past few weeks.

RJ should not be immune to criticism. Yea he tried his best… until he pulled off the track and didn’t finish the moto… and put up an abysmal choke job

And did anyone see him cross the track? Dude was about a second from causing a dangerous crash.

How much did you bet or rather lose? 😂

I’m not sure why you aren’t on the committee, or better yet, team manager. Your knowledge knows no bounds!

So this was your takeaway after going to the race of the year and then leaving early to beat traffic. Yea no for sure, you are as hard core as they get.

If Hampshire had just rode a smart race it would be fine… dude was riding like an idiot. And of course viral comes back with “RJ tried his heart out!!! Be nice to him!!!!”

He crashed 6 times in two motos.

You could also look at it like he crashed and kept getting back up and giving 100% effort.  Until he just couldn't give anymore.  The heart it takes to keep getting back up and going after it is what is needed. He stepped up to race last minute , and gave it his all. I missed the last moto ,I had to help my mother out. I'm gonna try and watch it later tonight.

If he and Cooper did not step up and race, the US may not have even raced at our home race. Yah I know that's unlikely, but of the healthy riders , they were the best options and they came closer to pulling off a win than I thought they would. WIth Cooper stepping down to ride the 250 after being on a 450 for a while now. And both he and RJ not having much time to prepare. I really don't think its a case of being nice because RJ is a nice guy, its a case of chill out dude, he tried so hard he crashed 6 times.

I didn't look at the final points, but what spot would RJ have had to get, to make it impact the overall results? Was it possible for the US to win?  If it wouldn't make any difference unless he won a moto or got a result that was impossible at the point he pulled off, than it's a bit ridiculous to give him a hard time for pulling off when he knew the moto result no longer mattered.

Jcoop would have been Open without RJ. He’s who should have been open anyways. He finished better than RJ all year. However RJ didn’t want to race 250.

Time to open your wallet and renew Jo's contract, HRC.

This puts HRC in a real quandary- do they need/would they run THREE 450 guys?? I know Jo can stay 250 for now, and surely going in...

I know Jo can stay 250 for now, and surely going in to ‘26 he’ll be the favourite indoors and out, but what after that??

He should have safely cruised in to a top 15 finish instead of trying to boost his team to a potential win, according to some.

Like I said, I wasn’t one of the idiots in here saying Christian Craig should be in over jcoop in 22. There was plenty of that.

There was also a ton of yall saying because Deegan is such a meanie, you didn’t even want him representing us at this race.

I’m certain there is a positive correlation between those two things and saying “RJ was brave sweetheart for racing his heart out for the USA!!!! You should be ashamed to be angry that we lost and watched a rider crash 6 times because he isn’t smart.”

If I didn’t know any better, I’d think I could make a strong enough case about how much I love the country and how much I love dirtbikes and you idiots would send my goon ass next year to France.

RJ could have went 7-7 and just not been a bonehead and I would have been fine.

But just like earlier this year when he cleaned himself and hammaker out… it’s annoying and he makes terrible decisions.

Thanks RJ for racing your heart out, but let’s never let him on the team again.

I’ll leave it at this.

Next year, if someone gets injured, all I’m saying is RJs name should not even be in the conversation as a replacement. And it’s going to annoy the shit out of me just like all of you guys saying Craig deeerved to go in 22.

I appreciate the guy riding his heart out, but I want team USA to win, and he is the opposite of clutch. And that was an all time choke job.

He crashed 6 times in two motos.

You could also look at it like he crashed and kept getting back up and giving 100% effort.  Until he just couldn't give anymore.  The heart...

Maybe he was trying to do this and couldn’t keep it on 2 wheels.

Who do you think would have helped them win today? RC?

I'm happy with 2nd after all the changes. When it was first announced as Eli, Chase and Deagon I thought we had a really good chance to win it. Then the final lineup had me really wondering if we could even podium. I think, considering everything, we did well. Congrats to Australia, USA and France!

Poor RJ - he's going to be harder on himself that anyone here could ever be. You know he's just gutted.

Honestly, to place 2nd in consecutive years while not sending all of our best guys is pretty impressive. Sucks that Sexton and Deegan couldn't make it this year, but to be honest, I still don't know if we'd have been able to overtake Australia. Congrats to them - Jett is clearly the best rider in the world, and Hunter isn't too far behind.

Very proud of Eli in particular. His tenure with Kawasaki didn't bode well for his MXdN career, but he's really made a name for himself the past few years. Leading USA out of the gate in 2022 with his race 1 wire-to-wire victory, being our strongest link and mixing it up with Jett & Gajser in Britain last year after being injured relatively recently, and putting in an A+ ride in race 3 today to secure 2nd overall for the team. He's had a heck of a back half of his career.
