I love the 270 kit. Harris did the mapping on my KTM 270 kit (and he made the kit). I did no other mods, great engine. It retains all of the good 250F traits and adds a lot of rideability. I've seen no difference in reliability either. If you can go 270 (not constrained due to racing/class issues), it is the best mod as far as bang for the buck.

Never trust a high hour 4 stroke race bike. Obviously TTRs and KLXs are different. I've bought a lot of used bikes and it is impossible to tell the condition of the internals. At least with two strokes it's cheap and easy to rebuild the whole thing.

I see lots of bikes standing on their own after doing a burnout in a muddy field, buried up to the axle.

Kind of agree with this honestly. Unless you can trust who did the work. Very few and far between but some sellers will freshen up a used bike before sale so they know the buyer is getting a solid machine.

Unless on a limited budget I would look for one under 25 hours. It’s amazing the number of people that have bikes that don’t use them and then sell with low hours. If you’re not in a hurry they are out there. Saying that, the KTM 350s and 450s regularly go over 100 hours on stock top end if they have been maintained properly (oil and air filter changes). When looking at used bikes look how they maintain other items besides the bike for sale. Clean/organized garage, clean vehicles, maintained yard USUALLY equates to someone that takes care of their...

This. You can usually just tell from how the photographed the bike/ what’s in the backgrounds of the photos. not breaking any news here but a list of red flags add as you see fit photo at sand dunes Leaning up against a tree dirty wet from just being washed being ridden (bonus points if jumping in dead sailor position)

I've been checking that out as well. Doing as much diligent research as possible. My Honda 250 I had was bought used. Only thing I had to replace on that was the fuel pump. And since then it's been a hell of a bike

What year is your 350? And I have some other bikes that have less hours that I'm watching as well. One thing that I'm really interested in for the 2020 350 is that it already has race tech gold valves and spring conversion done to it. And I've seen good things said about that engine and frame

So I'm looking at getting a 350 or 450 within a few months. 2020 or newer minus a couple 2018 Husqvarna 350's that are on my watchlist. There is a 2020 KTM 350 I'm interested in that has 91 total hours. But has a new top end, new clutch and multiple other new parts. Is 91 total hours getting on...

Having owned the old generation 21 and 22 FC350, and 23 MC350 and now the new generation 25 FC350 the new gen bike in my opinion is much better. Feels lighter on the track although the scale says otherwise. Better power delivery. Providing condition, maintenance records, hours, cost are all similar go 24 ktm. The MC 350 is a great bike but the ktm will have Brembo, map switch, etc. the gg doesn’t (unless its been modded)

Alright, so my top 3 choices are a 2023 gasgas 350, a 2022 mc350f and a 24 KTM 350 sxf. I don't think either one is going to be a bad choice. But can anyone give me the differences between the two?
" Perhaps Eli should have gone to Husqvarna considering KTM's current issues ?" They're under the KTM umbrella.

Marketing 101. It gets eyeballs and people talking about the brand. You can say what you want about the boots, but they've already won and the announcement hasn't even dropped.

I installed a Radius CX in my '17 KTM 350SXF about 4-5 weeks ago. I ride 100% mx, not really into trails. I have several practice days and a race day at Hangtown on it now. Bottom line, this clutch is awesome. I am running the default engagement spring setup and there is really no 'lag' in engagement that I can feel. It feels just like the stock clutch to me but helps me out when I get tired or make a mistake. On my 350, I'd say 1-3 times where I might be at a practice track I'll flame...

I've been in my 2010 Honda 250 for awhile. Love the bike. I feel like I'm ready for a 350 though.

I fought going to a 350 for a decade. I've owned 450's and invested lots of time and money to making it more manageable, easier to ride, more comfortable, and tamed the engine...only to be just as fast on a stock 250. I rode 250's for years and they're a lot of fun. I can get the most out of me as a rider with the small bore bike but I'm working for that speed. Downshifting 2 times going into corners, scrubbing, slipping the clutch, keeping momentum in the corners, and getting killed on the starts in the vet class...
