I agree he came out of nowhere and rode hard and consistently this year so he deserves the #1 plate. However, I don't care much for him because of his cocky attitude and "I'll take anybody out to get to the front" riding style. Would have rather seen Roczen or Musquin take the top spot but maybe next year. On to the outdoors!

There's this thing called "Taking the high road". Apparently Coop hasn't been down that road much. Little humility can go a long way. That doesn't mean to sugarcoat, BS, or lie. Just sometimes, you don't go there. I predict there will be a day when this all comes back around.

There was nothing wrong with the question. My only issue was the shot he took at AC on probably one of the darkest nights of AC‘s life. There is no need for that. Tonight should’ve been all about him, he just won arguably the most prestigious title in all of dirtbike racing. It speaks volumes about his character that he took some of that time to take a shot at a former amateur rival. Damn, I was just starting to come around to Coop, too.

At Budds the year he went perfect on the 125, which by the way was poetry in motion, I got a glimpse. It's between motos, at the Stewart motor home. Big James is holding court with a slew of mini dads, telling them how they made it. The crowd hanging around is all buzzing, high on just what they had witnessed. Like they were part of it or something. The announcer is going on and on over the loudspeaker on what a great exhibition of riding skill we just witnessed blah blah blah. Its like a mini festival or something...

James will forever be a moto legend. These videos are great insight.

After what he did to the 125 class, when everyone else was on a 250f, can you blame him for being so confident!? It must have been a real shock to JS when he realized just how fast the 450's were compared to his 250. I have always wondered what he would have done if the sport had remained 2 stroke and he could have raced the rest of his career on a 250 2-stroke. He may have won right out of the gate on the 250 Kaw and stayed with them much longer. I am sure RC would have...

Are you serious? You don't get to that level with life balance and nurturing parents. You get there because you, and your parents, are hungry. Mike Tyson did a podcast with Joe Rogan a few months ago and mentions that his son told him he wanted to box. Mike's response was (while laughing): "You're stupid. You go to private school. You take European vacations. You want to get in the ring with someone like me? Some animal? You're stupid."

For James, the totals represent a significant under-achievement. But no one was more entertaining or enthralling to watch. Edge-of-your-seat moments on nearly every lap, delivering mind-boggling speed or classic carnage. James brought "fun" back to racing after several years under RC's virtual dictatorship. He hung it out there like no one else, and for that we forgive whatever expectations the masses had for him.

Today's commentating was on high volume cringe. RC needs to get help or get replaced and I mean no disrespect to the Goat. Camera angles not so good either.
