BermShredder Added a reply to Cole Thompson gets a deal...

Good for Cole to land a ride....having said that, it's too bad he's going to race the outdoors here in Canada. Our series is a shadow of what it was in the early 2000's. Lots of in-fighting & devisive political BS involved in Canadian moto for quite a few years, now. I hope that he makes the most of his...
I like the SST over the Fatty & stocker. The Air Styrker made the biggest difference, imo. The flywheel weight smooths it out, & helps with the over-rev. I don't like hard to ride hot-rodded motors either. Smooth & easy to ride is my goal. Race gas seems to make it run a bit nicer, as well. To answer your...
2003 CR250 ; J&D Jetting Air Stryker, 50/50 C-12/pump gas, Rad valve, 10 oz flywheel weight, FMF SST pipe & shorty have been installed since this photo was taken. Runs great, no more re-jetting when the sun goes behind a cloud, & it seems to rev a bit further now. Get your suspension done for your needs. Amaze your...

BermShredder Added a reply to what boots should i buy?

Tech 8 is a good boot. Maybe a little heavy. I'm on my 3rd pair. Fox F4 is ok too. A lot lighter than my Tech 8's. I had to buy a pair when I forgot my Tech 8's at home. D'oh!Blink

Cole Thompson. Young Canadian kid from a good moto-family chasing the dream in the most competitive series would give all us Canadian fans something to stand up & shout about. I know, long shot right now, but the kid has heart & wants it bad. I'm tellin ya, he comes from hard-core moto stock. I used to practice at his...
@ jeffro503....this is the 2003 CR250 I spoke of. Got it from a friend who is a tech at our local Honda dealer. It's tight. @ Frodad78....I installed the carb, rad valve, & flywheel weight after i broke my clavical, going nuts & needed to something to do. I'll update you when the doc clears me to ride...
I just spent a little (more) dough on this one; air striker carb, boyesen rad valve, & a10oz fly wheel weight. The only part that sucks is I haven't been able to ride it yet. I broke my right collar-bone on June 20th. I go for x-rays on the 8th, & I expect to be good to go after...

BermShredder Added a reply to Step seats - who uses them?

My buddy rides a 2011 450 Honda. He said that he felt "tippy" in slow corners, so we peeled back his stock seat cover & shaved off a little bit of seat foam, maybe 15 or 20mm max. re-attached the cover, & he's happy. Says he feels more secure in the corners when seated. Just do your shaving in small...

...between these two... I've mentioned in another thread about how I traded two blown-up 2007 KTM 450 SX-f's for my friend's 2003 CR250. The plan is to keep one & sell the other. Bike #1 I bought this one new when I was working at the local Honda dealer. Sold it to a friend, who sold it to another buddy...

KTM # 1; bought new, dropped valves, ruined head. For the price of parts alone, I purchased KTM #2. (used). It ate the big end on the rod. Turns out, the cam-chain tensioner is junk on those things (#1) . As for the rod in #2...? That's what I get for buying a used 4-stroke! Yota has the plan...keep all...

Oh, he knew what he was getting himself into. We've been friends for a long time, so he knows the whole story. He's a tech by trade, so he'll be fine. To the OP; you did good, man. Really sweet score for you! Attack the corners! braaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaap!

You are not crazy. I might be though....I recently traded not one, but TWO 2007 ktm 450sx-f's for a mint 2003 cr250. Before you freak out, you need to know that those two katoom's were ka-booms! They both needed cranks, pistons, cylinders, & one needed major head repair. KTM #1 was purchased new, dropped both exhaust valves, destroyed everything. For...
