Anybody ever have one, or know much about them? I can get a barely-ridden 2003 CR250 for less than $2k and wondering if I should. It has RG-3 triple clamps, AGV levers, a Pro-Circuit pipe, Pro-Taper bars and he just replaced the original tires for some new Dunlops.
$1900.
Please advise.
Also, I'll be setting it up to race some off-road stuff...desert and trails.
Deal, or No Deal?

CR250 not the fastest but thing is funnnnNNNnnnNnnNNNn
and you can make it look great for being a 10year old bike!
02 and 03 had the updated chassis without the stupid RC valve......go for it
The Shop
I've got an 03 that I've had since it was new..
if you're froadin' it..you will need to spend $$ on motor work if you think its too meager.
good bike!!
Once I got it set up for me I was amazed at how easy it is to hold a line or drop into a rut. The only issue I had was setting up the Mikuni carb. I finally put a Keihin from a 2000 CR250 and it's like efi compared to the stocker. First race is in 2 weeks so we'll see how it goes. Oh, I also put a 2010 front fender and Cycra stadium plate to update the look. Love it.
Mine has been bomb proof. Handles, turns, stops, and shifts like no other.
Move some of the mid/top down and your golden.
CamP drops knowledge on these bikes.
I've tried a ton of combos.
My favorite; stock pipe, 50t, shorty, and boyesen flange.
Sorry to hijack your thread but I figured someone might have a quick answer for me since we are on the subject.
Thanks

i asked him about it and he lied but i had just talked to the guy that he had bought it from....still a decent deal but i can tell you neither the original owner or the owner now know nothing about moto so im sure its clapped...
there is a MINT 03 with pipe and stuff for 2300$ in SB...
I wish I still had it.
Buy it and have fun!
Chassis where nice for me, felt bullet proof as in quality, easy to work on. I get the feeling a slower (old guy) one can ride 200 hours on with only change a couple of pistons. Which means you could get many seasons without draining your wallet.
I would buy it.
