AC92 was supposed to be that guy, but it never happened. I’m a huge fan of RC and JS7, but McGrath’s story is LEGEND. RC and JS grew up in the sport and were groomed for it. MC didn’t start riding until he was 14-15 years old. Then traveled to Seattle on his old dime in a small pick up and won the 125 class. Spent 2 years at Pro Circuit and won 2 titles and then came in to the 250 class and won 4 straight titles. Won 7 titles total in SX and 72 Main wins. Never finished...

I know I’ll probably get shit on for this, but I honestly believe that if four strokes never happened, over the past decade or so, we would have seen certain prodigies distance themselves from the competition on a level similar to RC and JS. The thumpers have leveled the playing field significantly and diminished the advantage of exceptional skill.

That's awesome! Encourage but don't push his talent. I used to lay in front of the TV set when I was his age drawing racecars, motorcycles and robots. I was fortunate enough to turn it into a career of designing t-shirt art for many racers. Dale Earnhardt, Al Unser Jr, Kenny Bernstein and countless others. It evolved into an industry job of graphic design with DeCal Works since '08. It can happen and he can do it.

It doesn't have anything to do with old or young, I just don't care about it that much, not enough to let it compromise my enjoyment watching races. I don't watch to listen to announcers. It's just a temperament thing, young or old, not a cop out as claimed in the post I replied to. Other people care more. Some don't as much. I'm the latter. The MotoGP announcers are pretty good, but I keep the sound pretty low on those races, too. I'd be fine with a broadcast with just track noise as long as it provides visual updates...

Eli was managing the lead. Had more in the tank if he needed it

I noticed the adjustments as well. It seems like in the past, Eli would keep using a line even when it became slower. He made several adjustments tonight mid-race to switch to a better line.

He beat Tomac 3/3 races in the summer. He’s our second best guy. He should be able to make passes and not stay stagnant.

Jett's stats would look a lot different if James Stewart woulda stayed in the 250 class until last year.
