I'm just going off of what I saw in the first two races. He didn't back down, but he didn't take any unnecessary risks either. He's in his prime and I think he wants the top spot on the box.

I don't know. I've got a feeling Dungey wants to beat a healthy James straight up this season outdoors. I can see him still giving it 100%, pushing for the win.

In one of James' recent interviews, he said the YZ made his hands numb (not surprising to me). Maybe the bike forced him to keep as many fingers on the grips as possible, just so he could hang on the whole race?
