Mr Denman had just the right recipe of water and disking. Practice would always be muddy but by first motos it was brownie batter and the ruts would be a half dozen in just about every corner. I remember that night well! I was there in 2006 on a YZ125 battling all my buddy’s on there four strokes lol

Frozen Ocean in Upstate NY. 20 minutes from where I grew up. Spun countless laps there over the years. It’s still around and under new ownership but a shell of it’s former self. Back in the mid-late 90’s early 2000’s they held a Wednesday big money pro race on the night track the week of Unadilla. It would draw really big names and the races were always super intense cause of how technical the track was back then. Casey Johnson, Brock Sellards, Jiri Dostal, Nick Wey, Grant Langston, Mike Alessi and of course the locals Phil Nicoletti, Bob Kiniry, Paul...

This is the answer I believe. Every track should not have 3 footers, 5 footers, on/offs, and the same damn triple every week. We need offset mogul sections, walls, uneven rhythms, some tracks with massive whoops, some with no whoops etc

Just make each track different. As in whoop sizes and spacing, less repetitive track features and a unique obstacle for each venue.

This is true, but I’m assuming the OP means steep slower jumps like two stroke days. Back then they also had sections that, for want of a better word, were ‘un-rhythm’ sections. Sections deliberately built so they didn’t flow. But no matter what, whoops need to be longer than nine, not jumpers and always have a bowl turn after. Damn I’d even settle for a really old school long stutter bump section at this stage.

I consider him to be the best announcer/analyst as well as the most knowledgeable on MX fundamentals. Add in David winning multiple championships, it has always perplexed me that his level of expertise has not led to more involvement in our sport.

Looked calm all day long and in complete control. As his nerves settle and he gains race confidence his speed will continue to be unlocked (much like his hips). Anstie looks great and he will be up with the factory boys throughout the series Hymas is either out of shape or nerves got to him but he looked great for 60% of the race. Woof, that was the craziest first turn crash in a long minute.

I think it's about time for him to hang up the moto boots and put on the work boots to work at Millville. Too many fast kids coming up.

My prediction: Jalek does well in his heat race and gets in the top 10 in the main. Ferry goes to the LCQ and finishes around 15th in the main.
