I actually give them a pass for coverage of teams/sponsors for the most part. Each heat race is between 7-8 min and a main event is under 20 min. That's not a lot of time to cover everyone. Especially when you have big names crashing like Oakland or RV at A1 or a good race for the lead like A1...

There's just a basic conflict of interest when it comes to the teams and Feld IMO. The teams are privately owned businesses that want to race and hopefully break even in the bank account. Feld is running it like the circus or monster jam; a road SHOW. Ultimately, I believe Feld wants the racing to be competitive and the field...

Because all his eggs are in the supercross basket. He's still obviously fast enough to win a race or two. If he has surgery now, he's not gonna be good enough to start nationals on pace which puts the championship likely out of reach. Winning supercross races > winning nationals. Always will be that way for James.

I don't see James being able to come back for the nationals. At least not to race for a championship, which IMO is the only reason he would race it. It's under 4 months til Hangtown. You have to remember his biggest competition in 08 was Alessi and Ferry. Both fine riders but not much compared to top 5 now. He's not going to cut supercross short just to be on the line at hangtown with no realistic chance of competing the first month or two.

I gotta think Stewart will have surgery and probably not come back until monster cup at the earliest. I just don't see him joining the nationals mid way.
