One would think he could move right over to Windham's ride but thinking about it, if they took his current bikes, parts, etc. from the L&Mc team and moved them over to 22, that wouldn't be out of the possibility either. Only thing I could see keeping that from happening is Chad's "frustration level" with Honda right now (if it exists as so many seem to think it does). If I were a betting man, I'd put my chips on the 29 taking over for the 14.

Could Chaparral move some sponsor $$$ over to 22 as well if he did in fact go there?

Very sad to lose another team in our sport.

Great to hear Short already has a new ride though.

This reminded me to buy an Energy drink at least once a day to show them support. Like others have stated the pro level would be screwed without them.

Was the L&Mc team a factory supported effort? I just had a really bad thought and I'd hate for this to be the case... if they were a factory supported effort, could Honda have pulled the plug on them to move 29 over to Geico? They wouldn't do that would they?

Was he really spamming his own product? Because I seriously thought that was a bad photoshop job on the first 2 pics. If that's what his product looks like, I hate to tell him that it looks like garbage!

I believe L&Mc were actually supporting Factory Honda by leasing Shorts works bike from Honda. They were paying for the factory/technical support on the bike.

v2.

Los Angeles, CA (January 24, 2013) – L&Mc Racing, LLC will regrettably cease team racing operations for the 2013 season, immediately, as the result of circumstances beyond the team’s control.

L&Mc Racing principals, 7-time Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath and Team Manager, Larry Brooks, as well as their rider Andrew Short, are committed to running a program with the utmost level of professionalism however, recent unforeseen events outside of the team’s control have prevented that from occurring.

Larry Brooks and Jeremy McGrath wish their friend and colleague Andrew Short, the best of success in 2013 as he continues on with his career. According to McGrath, “We did our best to keep Andrew out on the track but forces out of our control dictated that we conclude the season much earlier than we anticipated or planned. Andrew is a class act and we wish him success throughout the rest of the season and beyond with his new team.” Added Larry Brooks, “Andrew has proven himself to be a great rider over the years, and my hope is that 2013 be no different for him.”

Jeremy McGrath and Larry Brooks wish to thank the current L&Mc Racing sponsors, Chaparral, Honda, WPS, Bel Ray, MMI, FMF, ODI, Talon, Dubya, Matrix, and Ironclad for their tireless support, exceptional loyalty and unwavering commitment to the L&Mc Race Team.

This. MC just made it possible for them to have access to a factory bike.

You don't have to... did you buy Canidae dog food? Makita tools? Supported the San Manuel casino/mission, buy Toyota trucks? Buy tires from Discount Tires, SkullCandy headphones? Boost Mobile as cellphone provider? Bud Light beer? Blimpie? Buy Colca-Cola at Subway? Traxxas cars, N-fab stuff for your Toyota truck... Samsung electronics from Radio-Shack.

If you didn't do all of the above then you don't have to buy energy drinks and the sport will still survive. If you do buy energy drinks everyday then please buy brands that support the sport.. otherwise don't go out of your way just for that... Sponsors and trends come and go...

You can't be serious? No offense, but that looks like shit, there is no way anyone is going to line up with that at an SX or MX event, especially one of the top names in the sport. Looks like the front of a JAWA speedway bike at IMS, nevermind the aerodynamics of hucking that bat wing over a SX triple.

spam what are you talking about they have no money to go racing bottom line
it was a different story when I had 3 mill for Larry and McCrath in 2001 flew out to do the deal and McCraths lawyer told me he went Bud Light KTM so I went to Suzuki with the Sobe Money so I don't want to hear it

and it is to bad barcia didn't use the shield it may have prevented him from braking his noise
but a its the same old story year after year GUY B teams come and go why NO MONEY so call it spam or not
but the bottom line is Short is out of a ride and he shouldn't be

SRP33- Give up on your ugly product. Barcia would have gotten his neck sliced on your windshield thing. Great time to bad some guys who tried to run a good team. Try to figure out what you wrote, because it is hard to understand what you are actaully talking about.

Even if Short had weird plastics on his bike, he would still get 0 seconds of TV time, close to 0 seconds of attention at the races, and the people checking the photos of his bike online or walking the pits don,t justify the amount of $$$ asked/required to make a 1 rider team survive.. especially if they have to pay big money to lease a bike.

How could a team with Larry Brooks, Jeremy McGrath, and Andrew Short not get the sponsorship money needed to build a topnotch team?

The president of Best Buy (or other big companies) don't know who Larry Brooks is and doesn't care. Jeremy McGrath does not race anymore and I don't think he goes to that many races... His name isn't anywhere, its just us freaks that knows he's part owner or something. Andrew Short has 3 solid rides so far this year but I don't think I've seen him on TV... only thing I've seen of him online since the outdoors finished is that his team might be done and an argument on how to spell Chaparral. Why would a big company give him a million $ with odds of him getting hurt being more than 50%??

Those small BIG teams only make sense if you have a podium guy...
