What would it be?

For me it would be McGraths 96' CR250.
This bike stands out in my head when I think of my childhood.
I get butterflies in my stomach every time I see it.

96 was an epic year for Honda.
I had a 96 CR125, probably the second best bike I have ever owned.

Henry's 1993 or 1994 CR125. He still has the 93 and its in a pile of parts! I offered to put it together but it wasn't on the priority list! lol

There will never be anything that exotic built again (thanks to the AMA rules).

Honda factory bikes 82-85 were in a different world.

As trick as many of the works bikes were, it's amazing how so many people don't realize what they are. Of all the bikes though, none stand out more than this one. Nobody overlooks this bike in a crowd. It is THE bike I had to have.....and finally got. While not a true to life works bike, the only components shared with the production version were the wheels and the lower end of the engine. In Europe and Japan, they were stock colors, so even those didn't really jump out and grab you. The few through Al Bakers were a different story.Smile

when steve lamson was past his prime the last year he had a factory 2 stroke 125 and raced nationals (i think it was 07), well that bike.

Like this one that a friend of mine has for sale here in Texas? Not actually McGraths, but a full on PC/Team Peak CR with all the good stuff including alloy tank. Completely restored with the exception of the original seat cover. Lots of new misc. parts and hardware. For about the price of a new bike, it could be yours.



Or you could have the actual PC/Peak CR250 that McGrath race in 4 or 5 East coast 250SX races in 1992. Unrestored, still has the AMA tech inspection tags hanging on the frame. Again, about as much as a new bike.

Yea MC s bike is sick for sure, I remember as a kid when He was racing hi point and the announcer said, look at the fastest guy in the world! That shit gave me chills when he said that.
