Yup when he holeshots he can run and hide.Maybe to early to tell but he's shown signs of getting his holeshot mojo back.

I will own up, after seeing his rides down here in the Aussie SX i thought he would be lucky to make a main, probably only make about half of them. Well he has certainly picked his game up recently, more power to him.

350 / 450 - won't have any difference in the results. It's all in his head. If his confidence continues to improve, he might be alright by the first national but not a threat for wins. My prediction 3rd through 8th on a regular basis.

I think if Mike is feelin' good , and back on a 450 , AND his confidence is up......yeah , he could really win some motos in the outdoors. I was actually blown away by that friggin' ride he put in last week.....wasn't expecting that.

I'm not gonna discount the holeshot. But he did get gobbled up pretty quickly. We'll see outdoors.

Give "The Man" credit. At the beginning of the year Alessi was not riding good and lacked confidence. In DeCosters recent interview he said he told Alessi what the accurate expectations are and I am sure he has been coaching him along the way too. It even sounded like DeCoster told him to back it down a bit. Now look - Alessi is putting in good rides. If Alessi can stay healthy, I think he will be a contender and should be fighting for moto wins in the outdoors. As for SX, he is a top 10 rider - and sometimes better. Hope he stays healthy to start the outdoors!!

Yes, Mike Alessi was riding really good out front. Seems all his troubles come when he doesn't get the holeshot, but there are other riders with this same problem. M. Alessi was even riding the whoops better than I've seem in some time.

I like M. Alessi and I hope he can run at the front more often.

The Alessi family came to a track near my home a bunch of years back and I got a chance to talk to the whole gang. One things is for sure, they love racing. And in my book, that makes them good people.

I always enjoyed watching Alessi give it 100%. Still, he's just not a SX rider. I don't like seeing him get that blue flag. I do think Alessi is getting more confident on sx tracks and this will help him in the outdoors. Put Mike on a KTM450 during the MX series and he will put on a show.
