would Chase even know what factory parts he wanted "floated his way"? Seems that would require a more technical analysis than what he's been given credit for up until now.

It’s probably already done with the team and bike, but he needs to finalise with some other sponsors so they get some attention when he’s ready to shout about it.

Doesn't matter. When was the last time a top rider didn't have a ride 10 weeks out from A1? Starting from zero?
maybe just waiting to receive final report from his doctors that his leg is fine and no concerns. That's sure to be a question the press asks when the signing is announced and would be nice to have that in hand to answer the question.
perhaps a brand new thread each calendar day until announcement would be more helpful

He isn't making a statement about energy drinks....He is making a statement about the industry at large; whether true or not, the idea that a rider would pick a team based on a sponsor rather than the merits of the team/bike is a bummer.

Difference is it had been known around the industry for awhile that they would be going there, in this case none of the guys that would typically have the scoop seem to know, and if they do they aren’t letting the cat out of the bag.

Difference is they were signed, and just waiting the announcement.
Chase’s situation is worse again because he hasn’t even been able to test ride anything (although cynics will say, based on history, that is irrelevant).
