One of the strengths of the Jeff Bros as a team is they'll battle each other, but they won't ride each other wide AF, the slower of the two on that day won't intentionally hold the other up, and they both benefit.
Had Webb not rode Deegs so wide in the opening laps, knowing, by his own words, that Deegan was faster, this whole drama would have been avoided and they both would have potentially scored better.
Webb wants some kind of "unc" privilege and his entire hissy fit was predicated on not getting it.
Webb crashed, Deegan didn't = classic supercross block pass. Webb is the master of late race mayhem so I'm not sure why he went nuclear...maybe something else going on?

In my opinion (I’m not an insider so I don’t have all the facts) Webbs blowup wasn’t so much about the situation itself but reactionary to something that has probably been brewing internally for a while now.
The takeout in my opinion was never meant to be a takeout, he meant to make contact for sure but I don’t think he was going into it trying to put Webb down. Webb always cuts low in bowl corners. If we don’t remember… Webb failed pretty horrendously trying to take out Prado this season. I think he has a hard time staying upright when making contact for whatever reason. Deegan was panicked, he fell, got knicked and in a moment of redlining, lashed out.
Both Deegan and Webb are not unfamiliar with making contact with teammates (Webb on Musquin Houston a few instances with J-mart in the star years) (Deegan on Smith Detroit 2023, SLC 2024, Davies Denver 2025) Some people have pointed to the particular situation between Musquin and Cooper as a “gotcha!” moment but I personally feel circumstantially there’s a few key differences. Webb had the red plate, he and Musquin weren’t buddy buddy off the track, it was a longer series and most importantly he didn’t put Musquin all the way to the ground. But, I do think you can’t not argue that Webb in his younger years is very similar to how Deegan operates as a competitor currently. In fact, he probably took a few pages from Webbs book “you have no idea what’s about to come” “you motherf*ckers ready for a battle?” See the similarities?
What I truly believe to be behind all of this is Haidens “lack of respect” off the track. Haiden seems to be the kinda guy where when he has the ammo, he shoots. And he doesn’t care where he points the guns. Over the past few years we’ve seen smart ass clapbacks, belittling, deep personal attacks on other riders. Wheather it be calling out Levi for fading in practice, calling out Jcoop for his chick taking a picture with Milki Mase, the stuff about Jetts girlfriend Dylan and his bald spot? It seems to be a “because I’m better than you I’m allowed to say whatever I want about you” type of mentality. That’s bound to piss anyone off. And we’ve heard scufflings of arguments/fights at the goat farm with Anstie and Smith for what I believe to be centric around Haidens attitude. And I’m more than sure Haiden says similar things to many other riders and has probably said a few smug things to Webb along the way.
I haven’t listened to Mathes review show yet but I’m sure he has far more details on what happened inside the rig than I could theorize. I do not in any way think this will calm Haiden down, he’ll probably continue down his path until he’s retired. But I’m sure him and Webb with squash it before next weekend.

Don’t think anyone knows, or those who do aren’t talking. Listened to most of the review show and they barely touched on the incident other than I believe Steve, JT, and Weege all saying Webb wasn’t fired.
Hoping Webb is on Pulpmx tonight for more details but I’m betting he isn’t speaking on anything until after next weekend.

I'd probably hate Deegan too if I were a veteran of the 450 class and never won a race. Along comes this loud mouthed kid...muliple 250 championships and wins on a 450. Deegan may talk shit, but he backs it up. He's there to race. Now, if he'll run his team mate hard, what message does that send to every other rider out there? He there not just to race, but to friggin win...period. He fills seats and the AMA and Feld know it.

Yeah, a real failure for a kid that literally just hopped off the 250 and won the SX reg title and then went straight to the veteran run 450 outdoors taking 3rd overall. Yeah, he really went backwards.
The Deegans seem to film nearly every moment in order to develop content for social media. I’d be surprised if the altercation wasn’t captured on video, even if it’s shaky or chaotic. Especially if Haiden had a ‘guest’ in the rig chatting with him.
I doubt we’ll ever see it, but I’d bet that it exists. And I wouldn’t be surprised that if it made Webb look bad, selected clips would be put out on the Deegan’s channels.

Webb's a 3 time SX champ, has won plenty, and hates Deegan. Also, when someone enters any competition and creates the expectation that they will win through THEIR OWN actions (RIP shirt/instagram trolling and words) but come short, then that is by THEIR OWN standards, a FAILURE.
