I’m not sure why everyone is hating on the Columbus round, but I thought it was great. The crowd seemed really into it and it seemed like the locals genuinely enjoyed having SMX there.

Well, done for feld not dealing with team manager with bullshit as well.

Moto fans fit the full spectrum- those who will sit all day in pouring rain to watch a race and love it, and those who watch from the comfort of their homes and hate it.

I remember many years how many people here bitched about the MEC. It was a gimmick, riders needed time off, money grab, 3 moto format, JOKER LANE OMG!.

Point is people will complain about anything. Then praise the thing they complained about the next day and forget they ever complained. It's just their default behavior to whine and bitch.

Agreed. It’s like everyone’s mad about it. It’s not really that much different than last year. Yes, it rained, several main riders were out, and Feld got pissy, but it was still racing.

No offense to the locals, but Columbus isn’t even the best city in Ohio, let alone the entire country. Why are we having SMX races in venues that would be hard pressed to get picked to host an Arenacross?

Because it's football and baseball season, so the pickings for stadiums is really slim? Was it the best racing we've ever seen? No, I'm not a big fan of a 60 second gap between 1st and 5th on a track with 1:05 lap times, but hey, it beats doing house chores on a Sunday afternoon.

This is like when Weege says he "will never understand why people don't like" split screens, muddy supercross races, etc. every other week on the review pod even though people explain why they don't like these things regularly across every social media outlet, lol

A cynic might think you’re saying that the brain trust of Feld/AMA/MXsports didn’t do their homework and cobbled together some half-ass attempt at being relevant to stave off the threat of WSX. Without any regard to the logistics, riders, teams or fans, and they’d be right. Throw in driving from Columbus to LA and then back to Branson over three weeks, and kicking team managers out of their high school clique, and it’s fairly clear just how shallow and visionless the people we entrust with keeping our sport healthy truly are.

I like having some racing to watch, yes it wasn't a great venue and the conditions sucked and SMX is ginicky, but most of the best riders were there and raced. I will watch this weekend also and enjoy it. I like racing even when it's not great.

I like Weege but I may have misjudged his intelligence. He also said that he thinks since kids in school don’t get suspended of have detention anymore is because there aren’t behavior issues anymore. Still unsure if he was being sarcastic. If that was the case, his approach was very strange.

Kids in school just don’t have consequences anymore. It takes really extreme behaviors to get any kind of punishment. Weege’s kids were right, kids just don’t get in trouble anymore. They get away with everything because there are no real consequences anymore unless they are breaking a law.

This is exactly the attitude they're banking on.....

Weird coincidence that everyone mad about Columbus also doesn't like Deegan.
