Deegan was what he was all summer, damn solid. I thought he would push the 450 too much and make mistakes. Nope. Will he remain patient in SX?

Everybody is going to have their hands full with Kenny. Any man that can come off the couch and put in a ride like that in the mud is a bad mf’er.
Supercross champ or not.

Man that’s no kidding, I was surprised even though I know I shouldn’t be. Every other guy out there has been on the gate all summer but Ken hasn’t been and he can still do that!

Why does a 1-3 beat a 2-2 in Motocross but a 2-2 beats a 1-3 in "Super" Motocross?

MX scores overalls off of points scored per moto. A 1-3 is 45 points, a 2-2 is 44 points. 1st is 25pts, 2nd 22, and 3rd is 20.

SMX uses "olympic" scoring. A 1-3 and 2-2 are both 4 points, the tiebreaker is the second moto score so a 2-2 beats a 1-3 for the overall. SMX awards only 25 points to the overall winner.

Don't ask me why they do it differently between disciplines.

I personally think the moto win should carry the tie breaker instead of the better finish in the 2nd main. A 1-3 should definitely always beat a 2-2 imo.

Thanks, It was more of a rhetorical question tbh. I know the scoring, just wondered why the powers that be would choose to make it so confusing for the casual fan.

Duffe the unsung hero of Haiden’s win.  I kept waiting for the YZ450F to smoke at some point, but not even a puff.

Only 8 pages?

This was the most bored I've been watching a race in years. Not being a hater, but everything about it was just bare minimum, going through the motions, zero excitement. It was a dumbed down supercross track in an old fairgrounds stadium day race in the mud with shortened motos and no qualifying so everyone was as flat as can be. Perfect storm of meh.

Yea, I skipped through the majority of it. Just much quieter around here than I expected it too be after the results.

It was a "straight up race", motocross is an outdoor, all weather sport. The event was a shit storm for everyone, even the fans. Every competitor started with the same chance to reach the finish line first and Deegan did do just that twice.

I hope SMX chooses to never have a race at this location again. The facility was in no ways prepared to handle an event of this size.

Because the Deegan fanatics on here always fantasize about how “vital will melt down once Deegan finally wins” but the reality is no one really cares besides a couple people that want to discount it since it was a mudder. He rode well and earned the win. Good job, not much else to say.

I’m not a Deegan fanatic but I think it would be very interesting to read comments/posts on here from a large group of members who have hated on him for years. You severely belittle the amount of anti-Deegan members here to “a couple people”. He is the most polarizing rider in the sport right now and most of it is based on people just being dug in on disliking everything about him.

I haven’t heard anything outside of the podium and post race show interviews today but he came off pretty respectful in both of those.

Good win for Deegan but we need to see it on a dry track. He is a very good mud rider for some reason.

Hunter bros are not good in the mud for some reason. Kenny is not a great mud rider either. I expect to see Kenny beat Deegan next week.

AP7 is way overrated in the mud for some reason.

You’re not understanding the context of my post. He said he was surprised there’s so little chatter in here considering who won (Deegan) and I said other than just a couple people (in respect to this race) have belittled his win, there isn’t a lot to say. When he rides well and doesn’t act like an asshole, what would “the haters” swarm to the board to say?

It's funny because I know exactly who it is and remember him getting the boot a week or so ago but already forgot what the previous user name was. The shtick is unmistakable though.

Deegandashian kicked everyone’s ass today and it wasn’t close.

Bummed for Jason, it was a top 5 day for him before he got landed on.

And outside of a shitty first lap in the first race, Shane was the 6th to 7th best guy today on his first ride on the Beta.

Should be dry next week, going to be interesting with the double points.

This whole race was weak and boring. Does anyone even count the champion from the play off season as an actual champion? Doesn’t even look like anyone is trying. Albeit the mud, pretty boring overall. Bring back straight rhythm or the US Open or the monster energy cup.
