Hymas on the 450? Anyone know if the Honda 450 is any good?

It’s won a race… or two

I don’t see them beating Spain, France, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands, so 6th is my prediction. Had the best riders available been there, they would’ve had a great shot at winning, given the Hunter brothers not there.

Just hoping for some great racing!

He will have almost no testing time with his current schedule.

If I were him I’d be sneaking off into the woods just to log some laps 😂

Interesting that there was no mention of Webb’s affiliation in the official US team announcement while there was for the other two riders. I’d go with no for being allowed to test, but maybe they’re prepared to turn a blind eye.

Italy is definitely not a better team than USA.

Exactly! Both teams have riders who are proud and honored to compete and defend the colors of their flag and country! They’ll both give 100%—and even more.

And the cheering from the sidelines can help them go even further.

It’s a unique competition format, and on paper, the strongest teams seem to be the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain,  but let’s keep an eye on these teams too: the U.S., Italy, France, Slovenia, and Latvia… Norway and Brazil could be the dark horses…

Let’s enjoy the “Motocross Olympics”! Smile

Agree with your first two points, but the PC bike being best in class? Have you seen the GP Triumphs and KTMs?

Kitchen is going to have his hands full with those guys, but it won’t be because the bike is lacking in my opinion.

I don’t think Kitchen will be at a disadvantage bike wise, but he certainly won’t have an advantage. The PC bike will also have to tuned to run different fuel.

AMA bikes are never at an advantage. FIM bikes can be full prototype works bikes, which I believe some of the Triumph, KTM, Honda, and Husky are. The AMA teams are production scooters that are then modified for different fuel and sound requirements from the AMA series.

As a Euro (but we’re not in EU🤪) glad that Webb got the nod.  Remember there is always something unexpected happens to one of the ‘top’ teams so the ‘gunslinger’ might get the chance to shine.

As for Hymas & Kitchen, one coming into form and the other no stranger coming through the pack so give Webb & Hymas the better starting gates and just maybe they get the results

What a fucking dog. Never was a huge fan of Webb's actual riding style but stepping up a decade plus after his MXdN debut? Mfering Captain America! He was ripping at Budds too

For those that stepped up to do this, thank you!

While Webb is a good choice, and willing to do it, wouldn't Eli have been a better choice? He's less consistent atm, but would be good for at least 1 good score, whereas Webb doesn't have the same ceiling.

Or is Eli about to hang it up?

Great team they've put together, I have huge respect for the guys that make the trip for the US, it's an pleasure to see them ride in Europe as it's a challenge to take on the opposing format and everything else involved, likewise with the guys that do it the other way around

I mean based on what? One moto at Budds with a 4th? A sorted out Eli is obviously vastly superior to Coop outdoors.  But Eli is just off and I doubt he wants to go get his can kicked around an MXdN MXGP track this year. Meanwhile Coop is ready to go and calling for the damn spot on social media. I love his attitude so much. I'm so proud of all the guys stepping up. I dont care if we dont have a winning team or not

I'm sure he was asked or at least I hope he was.  The sentimental me would have loved to see Eli and Coop out there one last time.

I never use to like Webb, Purley based on his race interviews, " thank the lord, thank baby jesus and then realed off all his sponsors.

Could not argue with his tanacity and always willing to step up for his country, that's how you win fans over

Good guy
