Trump either fired or pushed out 29.000-40,000 VA workers and cancelled another 25,000-26,000 open positions they were trying to fill because they were already severely understaffed. It is good to see the light. And since we are diurnal and not nocturnal the light also helps you see in the first place.
But, staring at the light too long or intensely can impair your vision, impacting your ability to see and navigate well.
In this case it reminds me of "moths to a flame".
When applied to us humans, it describes a compulsive pull toward a bad habit, a toxic relationship, or a risky situation that you know you should probably avoid. In reality we are drawn to such flames when we are avoiding things within ourselves.

There are extremists in both parties that have a voice. If You choose to ignore the extremists on one side and focus on them on the other, You are still not seeing the full picture. Try looking at what the majority of Democrats are saying and not just the Fox sound bytes. And look at the ugly sides of the Republican party too if You wanna really see things clearly.
You get the good and bad with either. You can't just take the bad from one side and good from the other. Unless You do not care about reality and are living in a world where proving a point matters more than being accurately informed.
If Trump is just distracting the media from his real accomplishments with the dumb shit he's doing. Why would he do that? Why not celebrate the wins and talk about the accomplishments? You don't normally create a distraction from good news, news that will help You. News that would help You win elections that You are afraid of losing. Would you?
Trump brags about anything he does, if he's distracting people from reporting on his accomplishments, perhaps those accomplishments are not much more than words, sating he's done something that has not actually happened . and that's the reason for a distraction.
In what world would it make sense to distract from real, positive, popular accomplishments when there is an election coming up that You are afraid of losing in? If nobody is reporting on those things, how will anybody know they happened? I guess its like a lot of the things he leaves so open ended , that he just lets his followers fill in the details , and they make up details that they like.
I think the majority of Americans want a leader that will lead and try to bring the parties together to accomplish things that will benefit the entire country. After you become the president, You no longer should be loyal only to Your party. Your loyalty should be to the country and all of the voters. The ones that hate you, that love you, they are all Americans .
People wanted a president that would run the country like a business, you can not run a company that has half the workers fighting the other half ,and resulting in noting getting done. The company would be bankrupt and doors shut . You need to suck up your pride and compromise so that You can work together. Find something to work together on. Anything that can start some sort of bipartisan work. And then work on the stuff you don't agree on as much after You have some sort of working relationship together. There are plenty of things that Trump could have done his first term that could have helped get on that path. The infrastructure bill being one, instead he left that easy win for Biden. He could have done it with the housing bill that was passed in a bipartisan vote. Shown he would work with the Democrats that were willing to work with republicans to get that bill done. And instead of acting like a 14 year old girl and playing victim, he could have been a real leader, leading by example.
The problem with that is donations slow down when Trump isn't able to play victim. And that seems to be more important to him. It gives him power in the republican party . But what is he doing with that power? If i didn't know better, I might think that Trump wanted to have Democrats win the house and senate majorities. It sets him up to not have to get anything done and can blame it all on the Democrats. But meanwhile he rakes in the donations from his loyal minions and awards giant government contracts to those he chooses .
Guess we'll never know since it was Republicans.

To be fair, there was a parallel that's good enough. Plenty of protests in the streets which people presented as being peaceful and violent with plenty of images and video to support either. And really there's no confusion about it, it was both of those things at different times. Violence always stands out to me, so selling either J6 or left protests as peaceful is dishonest imo, though there were certainly peaceful elements to both.
