If MX Sports can find the time to run WMX races at the Nationals, why not hold EV races.also?
Force the manufacturers to build competitive EVs. In their own class.
It's going to go that way eventually, why fight it ? More rides, more sponsors and possibly more interest?
It's not going that way.... the big electric "boom" was over about the time it started.... sure.. there are some out there... but very few people are begging for electric bikes or cars anymore... the majority are quite happy with ice..
My advice - just watch wsx if you need a hit of watching electric bikes...
I'd rather see a legends class (retired pros like osborne etc)... instead of futures, kids, chics, or electric....
Remember a few short years ago when there was just no way to do a 125 class?
Exactly
This is exactly what this sport needs, a 125 class. There is not a good reason for not having one, and lots of good reasons to have one.

Wmx can fuck off, and so can electric.
If that happened , what would we do without the close up ass an titty IG's of the WMX hoes? I dont see of the MX dudes showing closeups of thongs and boobs while changing into their gear like i see from every bike owning hoe on IG.
I don’t think any of the girls that are actual racers and athletes are showing TnA on Instagram. But there are a bunch of posers with links in their bio that cosplay as moto or street riders clouding up the legitimate girls.
It’s extremely unfortunate when I see brands throwing gear, parts, and cash at these fakes thinking it will translate to sales. They’re just horny brand managers with budget that don’t understand marketing tact who think the O’Neal calendars sold gear. It didn’t. It sold calendars.
The instant one of the big OEMs releases a competitive electric motocross bike, they'll suddenly be allowed in AMA racing. The AMA is beholden to the big OEMs, not the sport. Ironically, the AMA used to be the American Motorcycle Association, but changed to the American Motorcyclist Association to emphasize they were about riders, not motorcycles. They're clearly NOT about riders anymore. I understand that some of the AMA's reluctance to allow E-bikes is because of how badly they fucked up the 2-stroke to 4-stroke transition, but they've had decades to fix the displacement disparity issue and have chosen not to do so. Luckily, KTM and Yamaha have continued to carry the 2-stroke torch, while Kawasaki and Honda decided prioritize profit over keeping the sport viable and healthy. Whether you like it or not, electric bikes will overtake 4-strokes, just like 4-strokes overtook 2-strokes. Have you ever ridden a Stark Varg? It makes a 450 seem a bit silly and is easier to ride. I'm a 2-stroke guy, and only reluctantly switched to a 450 when it became clear that a 250 2-stroke was never going to haul my fat ass to a decent start. I love 2-strokes, but I'm faster on a 450, and even faster on a Stark.
This coming from someone who owns and loves riding an E bike:
An electric only "pro" support class is a gimmick and would be boring. WMX, you're seeing who the fastest woman racer is. 250s, you're seeing the best small bore rider/usually the up and coming talent. 450s, you're seeing the absolute best of the best racing each other. Electric class at a national? You'll be seeing C-D tier riders who can't get paying rides in either class racing each other. I mean, its racing, so I'd still watch it, but at the premier level? What is the point of a bonus class like that?
Let them race alongside everyone, sure. (longshot) but a separate gimmick class isn't it for premier racing spectating. Please let me race it locally though, it is simply way too damn fun to ride.
As for what its worth my opinion as a european viewer,
make those WMX moto's longer like at least 20 or 25min +2 laps and run them on the friday program
And bring back the all stars 2 stoke class please along side with a youth 125cc class i think those would be a great addition...
But NO electric bullshit, yes those have their place in the world but it has nothing to do with motocross nor supercross and thats just my opinion.
sorry, im sure an EMX is fun to ride and ive seen the stark at local races, but im not paying to to hear chain slap for 30+2
for promoters, its not something thats going to sell tickets. ppl would pay for a 125 show long before emx simply cuz the sounds
I love this take. Empty talking point that came about after the left flipped on Elon.
Best selling car in the world, year over year continues to be the Model Y - you would think since "no one wants electric" that would drop off at some point.
Stark sells every bike they make.
The Chinese E Motos are sold at a rate that makes ICE dirt bikes a novelty in comparison.
The top level of a sport, governed by rules specifically banning the most competitive E-Bike, and traditional automakers giving up on EVs because they simply couldn't take market share from Tesla doesn't equal "boom over"
How many cars does Tesla sell compared to Toyota or VW ?
( A lot less)
Yes, Tesla have one model that sells well, but other manufacturers sell a lot more , and give buyers a lot more choice & variety,
I have tried watching most forms of EV racing, but I dare you to watch an EV race all the way till the finish without falling asleep .
I posted this before, but I would much rather see a 125 class then a EV class. Run one Moto on Friday the other on Saturday. Make it 17 and under. Run 5 on the West Coast and 5 on the East Coast. Give a championship for each coast. Make Iron Man a West Coast, East Coast shootout. You could also have the top 20 from each coast go to Loretta‘s and race at the ranch for a Championship.
Your bolded statement is 100% true but you can see from the downvotes and comments that it's going to blindside a lot of people.
Sur Ronster is one of the most popular people on two wheels and the absolute most popular among the young demographic, IE, the demographic that will shape the future of motorcycling.
There are a few that recognize that the minute the Big 5 have competitive E Bikes they will lobby the AMA, the rules are already in place, and it will be the YZM400F all over again, except this time it will be the four strokes left to linger/be killed off.
The development pace of the Supermini through 7/8 size Emotos and the value for the dollar is foolish to ignore.
They are already long enough. Usually the gaps between all of them are huge by the end of the race currently.
should have women finish racing on Friday, and SMX next do every round on Saturday. I enjoy watching the kids race a lot. Which is the future of the sport.
You have some serious issues.
Nah, I just dont see the point of them posting that dumb shit all the time. Just like the stupid clips of THOT's riding a mx bike or crashing one. Either ride the bike and race it, or stay the fk off of it entirely.
Pit Row
Getting upset about what other people do is weird. Getting upset about seeing a good looking female on social media is even weirder. Some people would call you gay, but I won’t even do that. Gay guys don’t get upset when they see a good looking girl. Which brings me back to my original point. You have some serious issues. Your disdain for women may be able to be addressed through therapy.
You are a grown man (maybe too much of an assumption on my part) using the word "Thot" on a message board in 2026....to complain about attractive women posting dirtbike content on instagram.
Look inward.
That shit is laughable. I dont get upset about instaheaux's showing ass n tittys on IG. I just dont see the point. What exactly are they trying to accomplish? Thirsty dudes like yourself hitting like and subscribe? Sure doesnt do anything for the sport of Mx. I dont look for women on IG anyway.
Who the hell are you even talking about? LaLa? Charli Cannon? Lotte Van Drunan? Jordan Jarvis? Which one shows their ass and titties on IG? If you don’t like it, don’t look. I don’t like jazz music. So guess what? I don’t look at jazz related stuff. Doesn’t mean others don’t like it and it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. Fuckin crazy dude.
Just my own opinion but I think the newer, Euro5 compliant twostrokes need a race-based R&D stage now that they didn't need 5 years ago. Times have changed, we aren't talking about throwing a bunch of YZ125s out there.
I think the solution is a 125 class in MXGP and AMA, and I think Moto3 in MotoGP could probably look at 300-350cc singles. The gap between the 250 single and the new 765 Triumph moto2 bike has grown too wide. I think the compromise we would have to make is mandating TBI across the classes.
The TBI on the twostrokes would go a lightyear in the span of probably one production run. Before anyone says it, the Japanese MFGs do not have the sway they had in 2008 like everyone likes to repeat.
The problem with women has nothing to do with gender or speed, and everything to do with parity.. there are 3 girls capable of winning, another 2 capable of capitalizing on mistakes by the other 3, then a 30 second gap back to 6th. The talent isn't deep enough for a national level class right now.
I believe we are beating a dead horse with MX Sports and a 125 class.
My point was WMX is not entertaining racing.WMX is not selling bikes or gear .
if you had 2 Motos for the 250 non- qualifiers it would be more entertaining.
Wether we like it or not, EVs are the future.Showcase them and you would bring more young fans and interest.
This is a great interview on Evs and the Future from Ping on Whiskey Throttle with the guy from Bonnell.
Interesting they are using DC electrical infrastructure.
My feed is full of regular dirt bike content. You see "instaheauxs" because you interact with the pages, which is the point of them posting what you claim to hate. Interaction, views, comments (either thirsting or hating) equals money. The more you hover, watch, like, comment, message, the more of it you see.
These people have absolutely nothing to do with the WMX riders on track, which is what the tread is about.
Tesla Model Y sales have dropped, BYD now sells more electric vehicles worldwide, but they are not available in the US.
Even though it's not the point here - the Model Y remains the best selling CAR in the world.
BYD has the highest sales as a brand but across dozens of models Tesla has 3 vehicles for sale, 3, Y and CT - no single model of CAR from BYD or anyone else outsells the Y.
Your last paragraph sounds alot like 450 supercross... or mx....
This is a great interview from Ping on Whiskey Throttle with one of the Head Chees's at Bonnell. Very interesting they are using DC electrical infrastructure.
When I saw the header, I assumed the full fred title was "...which is more boring"?
But.... some actually take it seriously .
