Any track map has the track divided into 7 sections. It looks like the AMA has come up with at least 26 sections. Is there any map showing that?
I can't get the picture to load but there's a track map with all of the segments in here: https://www.nbcsports.com/motor-sports/news/how-to-watch-2026-supermotocross-round-26-unadilla-start-times-schedule-tv-info
There we go.... Thanks.

The AMA is nothing without being inconsistent. For years, they seemed to pick & choose which riders to penalize, and which ones could blatantly break rules but never even get their hands slapped. It started to be so completely obvious that there was "favoritism", and both fans & teams complained loudly. The old saying is "there's a ditch on both sides of the road"...so now the AMA seems to have jumped from one ditch of biased accountability to the ditch of nit-picking accountability, where everyone on the line gets a penalty.
At what point is the AMA going to get realistic about certain sections of the tracks not being properly marked in regarding to track boundaries? Its as if the officials never actually raced a dirt bike in their life and dont understand how lines shift and change throughout a race. Why are the track boundary markers ON THE GRADED DIRT of the track? Why not place the markers on the edge of the grass? We had the same issue at thunder valley.
Also why are we handing out all these penalties this year? Is this the AMA desperately trying to save face due to all the rampant criticism? Our sport is quickly turning into the NBA with constant penalties, point deductions, position deductions, etc etc.
We can complain all day long, talk a bunch of sh!t about the AMA like we always have, but its now approaching the same level of idiocracy as the WADA over reaching authority ruining the careers of Bubba and Tickle. Its not as if the guys are cutting entire corners off or racing across the grass infield. Were literally talking INCHES that have ZERO EFFECT on position. Its insane.
Wasn’t that after a jump? Lots of riders would get off center and land outside a marker and get right back on. I have no problem with that unless clearly a faster line and they keep doing it. btw…when Jett got penalized a position previously, he was out of control off the jump, gained no advantage, in fact loosing about 5? bike lengths off Hunter and Mike P talks about it like it was a bad sin because he gased it. That is different then someone intentionally cutting inside and gaining an advantage, like deegan almost every lap at Thunder Vallley. The AMA seems incapable of common sense fair punishment. I guess because we all have favorites? Including M.P. Why license points when they have been dinging positions previously??
I think the AMA is being ridiculous with all of the penalties. I understand it if you gain an advantage, but some of these they would lose time compared to if they stayed on the track.
The hypocrites are down voting this one 😂
That ^ and this are COMPLETELY different offenses. If you don’t know the difference between them then you.…
A. Never raced a lap in your life
B. Rub one off to a deegan picture daily
C. All of the above
haven't read the thread, but have always wondered:
If a rider exits the track markers, they must come to a full stop. Then they can resume. If they don't, penalty. Yeah, I know it would have been a real bitch for Deegs to have to stop (cause he was running full speed and a full stop would cost him - 5 secs?) but when guys jump berms or drift off a jump...you must stop and the penalty of lost time is felt by all.
They need to ditch track markers if this is the standard, go back to banners.
Imagine watching a football or basketball game and refs not blowing the whistle when someone goes out of bounds if they didn't think an advantage was gained?
I really don't get what's so controversial about policing the boundary of the track? Intentional or not, going off track should be detrimental to your race and a boundary that isn't defined isn't a boundary. I understand the reasons you can't say they have to enter where they exited the track, but if that were the rule we'd see far far less off track activity.
I remember many years ago indy 500 always having issues with guys going too low in the corners, inside the lines, etc.... they finally just put grass there. No more debate and no more cutting the corners. Can't really think of a potential moto solution that wouldn't put riders at risk but these guys were hitting concrete walls at 200mph and that was a pretty good deterrent.
Post of the Day!
🤣
The AMA is fucking the duck we just get to watch the feathers fly.
Probably because most people know that marker was kicked on to the track. Watch race day live and you will see.
Make sure to pay your dues..

I was sitting here, holding a Baby while his Mum was just doing some gardening, and I laughed so hard at that, the little Blighter woke up and 'objected' to my mirth.
His Mum came haring in thinking the worst.
