As fast as Deegs is, It is obvious that the level of the brothers is unparalleled.
They ride smooth and keep momentum where Deegs and Tomac just punish the bike, the berms and everything in its way. That is not a slam but that smoothness is what the separation is.
Almost like when MC started dominating, it was all about being smoother than the rest.
It might be 5 years before anyone other than Law Bros wins a title.

Hunter has proved hard work can overcome talent (Jett level talent)..should mean others can too. Right now outside of Deegan not seeing anyone with potential to put the work in to match their speed..
Hunters advantage is being able to practice with Jett and so he knows what speed he needed to work to…Deegan and others don’t get that on a consistent basis..

Jett's advantage is being able to practice with Hunter.
However at no stage in this sport's history has it been essential to practice with equal level talent to win. I don't think that's changed.

As much as "The Deegan program" annoys the F out of me, I was hoping he would be able to at least challenge the Firm at some point, since no one else is even in the zip code. The Lawrences showed clearly yesterday at "Deegan's house" (Washougal) that he has a long way to go. The rest of the 450 class is in the A-minus pro group. At least there is competition between the brothers. They sure are a sight to see working their magic. Maybe next year someone will step up. Lucas? Sexton get his head screwed on straight? Deegan stop revving the absolute shit out of his bike?
If Lucas Coenen gets over his current ailment and can stay relatively injury free after that I genuinely believe he will be better than Jett.
He's 3 years younger than him and he's mostly been trading moto wins with Herlings in MXGP with some ridiculous margins of victory over the rest of the field, similar to Jett and Sexton in 2023

Yups, Deegan is not rolling over, he tries hard and is worth all the praise for it... Different can be said about those outside top4 when they see Deegan coming.
Nobody said it’s essential, but I think we can all agree it’s a benefit rather than a hindrance.
There are so many aspects to the Bros which are a benefit.
Being brothers and happy to share information, riding the same bikes, must be so valuable.
Brothers on different teams would have it.
Non-brothers on the same bikes wouldn’t have it.

The rest of the field is so far behind the Lawrences that I found myself rooting for Deegan at Washougal! At least he's able to keep them in sight for a bit. It's wild how much better they are.

Just alone the fact that despite them both being so close in the championship they still ride each others bike at press day to test as many settings as possible. Just a huge team effort. They push and help each other in every single aspect.

Yes, but Jett is also injured. He can't ride as often as he wants and also has to adjust his riding style. While I think Hunter has got much closer I think Jett would be winning much more under normal circumstances.

When was he a full minute ahead of Deegan (not including Deegan’s wreck)?

if the lawrences were not brothers, we'd be talking about how we're seeing the repeat of JS7vRC4. Epic level rivalry. Who is in 3rd place? Who cares! It's all about this epic rivalry.
Because they are brothers, oddly we drag 3rd place into the convo a ton. It's like the lawrence brothers are a single unit, so if one wins, they both win...thereby somehow pulling Deegs more into the convo. It's weird. Kid is 30+s off the pace frequently.
