Interesting... That one is supposed to be in MX2 next year? Or maybe EMX250?
Either way, I think they chose a color too close to Yamaha blue in my opinion.
Like Bajaj, formerly known as KTM. 🤣
I was a life-long KTM fanboy until 2019 when they outsourced to India and China. Now it's krr-ap lad.
Beta is it for now, until they get too big. Or Honda or Yamaha of course.
BTW, I did a deep dive.... did y'all know that Hardly-Abelsons are also Chinese and Indian now? SOME parts are imported to Milwaukee and assembled and sold as "Made in America". Look it up.
Is the engine a Unicam like the Honda?
Yes.

You sheep molesters best bow and scrape to China since you'll soon be China South. Halfway there now. Hope you enjoy a bug and scorpion diet, mate. 🤣
How many of the China fluffers around here have actually been to China, I wonder? Or seen their "Belt and Road" or WTF they call it, UP CLOSE over a period of time? Perfect example of Chinee SHIT technology.
China is a 3rd world pisshole with money, is all. Scratch below the shiny surface and it's crap underneath. Their food is absolutely HORRIBLE, for one. It ain't sweet-and-sour chicken or Kung Pao or fohtuun cookies, Bruce! .
Insitutional industrial knowledge and capability takes centuries to develop, not 40 years. China was medieval until Nixon and Clinton gave them America's industries. And Pierer gave them KTM's tooling.
Go see for yourself before you pop off about how great it is..
Has anyone checked out Chinee bike parts availablity?
No kidding, then Honda Tech25 is correct. I would have thought that Honda would have had a patent on their engine design.
Giving me 1996 YZ vibes for sure!
No. Not a direct copy, at all. But it does have the same cam configuration.
Back in the day, Suzuki and Yamaha incorporated elements of CZ and Husqvarna designs too. And that was when "Made in Japan" was a phrase that was not a compliment. Back then even my "Made in Japan" plastic army men were shitty quality. hen came Deming
Exactly right. Plus we help rebuild Japan's infrastructure.
We just need to grateful that poor Biden is out and Kamala hit the gate.
In a couple years we get someone new that hopefully will do good things for America. 😊
They were also the first with a production single shock LINKAGE rear suspension. It was crap, but they were first dammit.🤣
I have to spend a few weeks in Taiwan coming up. Now Im freaked out about the food. 🤷🏿♂️
Food in Taiwan is amazing. Some of the best in the world.
Taiwan is an entirely different country than mainland china.
Tell that to Xi Jinping. Preferably before WW3.
Cam chain is on the right side. The 250 has the chain on the right but every 450 until next year was on the left.
Interesting 🤔
Pit Row
IF they actually copied something, this bottom end has the balancer in front of the crank, the starter drive jives and the chain on the right. The proportions look close but they must have made their own unicam head. Possibly
I found the service manual for it if You wanna look at it. They have the 250 manual too. I looked quick and see some Honda and KTM influence sprinkled throughout the bike. And funny thing I noticed on their website they have photos of the 450 and in the background is a 2017 ish CRF.

I also noticed they have a page that shows some past offers and any current ones. They have had financing deals with lower rates, $500 rebates, and have knocked $3K off one of their rally bikes when they had leftovers. Notice the date of the offer is August of 2024
I made a more CRF like shroud for it. I bet that if these bikes sell well that one of the aftermarket plastic companies will sell a restyled shroud for it. And I'm sure it they took more than 30 minutes to design one they could come up with something more unique that looks good with the rest of the bikes lines. Just changing the lines of the shroud up make it look better in my opinion. I know it could be fine-tuned and improved. I honestly was just curious what it would look like with a tweak here and there and just made this up to satisfy my self for now.
Wow thanks! They got about everybody on that thing, even Magura.
