Winning with class is important—but so is losing with class. I don’t agree with motioning the TV cameras away after a tough race.

Didn't he swat the camera away after moto 1, which he won? I thought the behavior was odd, honestly.  He won and Deegs finished further back due to the crash. 2 good things, in his favor. Moto 2 he finished behind his brother and Deegs, made 2 costly mistakes and acted normal, afterwards. So I would think he'd be more upset after moto 2 than moto 1, if he was just "being competitive."

Honestly don’t think he is worried about Deegz. He is worried about Hunter and just got passed and dropped late in the moto by him.

Yeah I'm sure he obviously sees Hunter as his main competition but the fact remains.  He still won the moto. And moto 2 he finished behind those guys, lost the red plate and made 2 big mistakes. That makes more sense to be mad, but he acted normal. I just thought it was a bit odd and over the top, especially considering the circumstances.

Wow motioning the cameras away after a tough race- never seen an athlete do that in televised sport before? You must be new to watching sports so in that case I can see why you give a shit. lol what a stupid post.

Remember this is the same guy, who after winning, turned the camera away to point it at Tomac with his family.
Some people, unlike others, don’t enjoy a camera in their face 24/7, or think there’s more important things they should be focusing on.

Then moto 2 Deegs pushed him to level to where he was riding over his head and he crashed. Tough day for Hunter’s brother.

nothing wrong with being frustrated. He is a human being after all. What i found a little odd tho, post race interview Jett said they made a wrong choice with bike setup. In the press conference it was all his foot what was bothering him, no single mentioning of (wrong choice of) bike setup.

Deegz pushed him so hard that he dropped 10 more points behind Jett and even further behind Hunter. I'd say it was a tough day for Hailie's brother.

Took a while to finally hear what Jett says with those stupid airhorns but he says "*something* my fucking foot man"

I can't imagine, with his practice crash, that the soft, deep track didn't hurt it.

I think you're allowed to be frustrated with an injury, especially if he re-hurt it.

Hunter obviously you're gonna be pissed you rode that race to just slide out

Dude, you should just delete this. You look like a clown. You try and get to that level and bust your ass for 30 plus minutes in the heat and have your self in perfect composure less than a minute or two after you get off the bike and try and collect your thoughts. He did nothing but show what being the best in the sport is all about. And once he had a minute to drink some water, have someone in his ear and gather his thoughts he was classy as normal. Good grief already

This. Jett isn't worried about Haiden, he's not worried about Hunter. His injury isn't letting him ride like he wants to.

I agree with your take.  I bet he tweaked his ankle sometime during that first moto.

It's clearly frustration with the circumstances. It looks like he doesn't have the flexibility and range of motion required to ride deep rutted tracks the way he needs to. His foot peg has been moved and he can't ride on the ball of that foot, from what I understand. That means his toe is hanging out there off the front in deep ruts. His body is fighting his mind. Very reasonable to be frustrated imo.

Say what you want about Jett and the cameras….but I thought is was hilarious after the first moto they catch Jett slamming his helmet and dropping the F-bomb, only to quickly switch to Hunter dropping the F-bomb while getting off the bike and slamming his goggles and gear under the tent. Poor ole Weege had to go straight into apology mode.

How many Deegan-bash  threads and posts would you have participated in if it were Deegan who tried to swipe away the camera while being a sore loser?  You guys are too dense to see you manifested all of this.

To his credit, it would seem that he DOESN’T want to beat his brother that way. I like that.

But, hey, my bad. I’m pretty sure we’re not supposed to see any positives in one of these angry threads. 🤣

I love the passion, and the 'hate losin' fire in them, so I don't mind the little tantrum after losing.  But swiping the camera away was over the line for someone like Jett as he is a professional athlete and under contract to be on the broadcast, win or lose.  He needs some mentoring from his older brother.
