Have any of you guys ran into any pros/former pros out in the wild? I was coming out of a Starbucks in Temecula the other day and saw Factory Phil Lawrence and couldn’t help myself holler out Factory Phil!! lol he was super cool, we chatted for a bit, said he recognized me and I let him know I had his MotoXXX #37 jersey from ‘99. He probably went home to tell his ol lady that he’s still getting recognized out here lol anyways I thought it was pretty cool, and pretty cool to see one of the ogs.
I met Marv and his family right when he came to the US at the Home Depot in Corona.
I met Seth Hammaker in Newport Beach last year when he was on the way to Doc G’s place.
I used to see Ryder D cycling in Newport Beach a lot before he went to Florida.
I saw Juju doing like 80 mph through Costa Mesa side streets in his truck.
I see Wardy cycling pretty regularly, that guy will put absolutely anyone to shame on a bike.
When I was in high school, I worked at cold stone and Josh Hill came in a few times after riding.
I used to see RV pretty regularly around Newport also.
Mike Craig was walking around High Point yesterday.
Zach Osborne was at spyder mx today absolutely shredding
I got on a cruise ship last year with a KTM shirt on, and Lance Smail came over and introduced himself.

I saw Ryan Hughes at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly
I was on a road trip up the PCH in 2018 and RV and his wife roll up in the parking lot of Point Lobos State Park.
We saw each other, he knew I knew, and I let them be.
Then it was weird cuz we went on the same little hike and I felt like I was following him around lol
I snagged a pic.
Random side note. My friend to the right is Max Vohland’s uncle and I had to explain to him who RV was haha
Josh osby came to my work to install a water softener...
Lance is awesome
Holy shit, is this for real??
lol no, it’s just a copy pasta.
I was gonna say, what's the chances of Ryno and Seely having the same schtick? 🤔
Mike has always been super cool to talk to and is very friendly to folks.
You've been waiting forever to do that!
Nashville Supercross this year was in Morgan wallens bar and me and my buddy are at the bar buying a drink, my buddy goes why do i recognize that guy thats across the bar from us, I look it and its Jeremy McGrath, Jeremy noticed us talking and looking at him and knew we recognized him and he waved us over and we talked about the race that night. Dude is truly just a huge fan of the sport deal, after that was over I asked if he cared for a pic, was definitely really cool
Fuck man, I read the Ryno story and was seeing it play out in my head, then once I got to the Milky Ways, the BS meter went off and then I’m thinking “ok, I’ve heard this before”.
I did a quick copy paste, learn, it’s copy pasta and come back to the thread to see your mention of Seely.
The vision of Seely loaded down with Milky Ways comes to fruition. I knew I recognized the story.
Only the first time, the Milky Ways are what sealed it for me lol
Sometime around January or February 2000 when I was still living in CT, I rode my snowmobile up by Doug Henry’s property during a snowstorm. I was only 20 years old at the time. I was careful to not be too obvious, but maybe since I was on a Yamaha that looked like the one’s he was racing in Sno-X at the time, he actually came outside to greet me. Ended up doing a couple laps with him on his moto track out back, which he had been using to practice Sno-X. I was also racing sleds at an amateur level at the time, and I thought I was pretty good, but it was all I could do to keep him in sight. Was one of the most surreal moments of my life. He and Blair Morgan were my heroes as a young aspiring racer. Anyway, after a few minutes of chatting and him letting me in his barn to warm up, I rode back home. Don’t remember anything about the ride home, even though it was about 20 miles. A couple years later I ran into him again at a shitty little motocross practice track nearby, which I’m sure is either developed or closed today. I asked him about the night we rode snowmobiles together and he said “oh yeah, you are the kid on the snowmobile!” I’m going back to the ‘Wick next month for the first time in over a decade as a spectator and hope to see him there. I have a “What’s Stopping You?” poster I’ve always wanted to get signed.
In the early 90s, I was driving south down the hill where Camino Del Mar turns into North Torrey Pines Road in San Diego, and David Bailey & Jim Knob went absolutely flying by me in the bike lane in their race chairs.
I grew up with Ryan, his brother Jeremy, and his whole friend group in Escondido. I 100% believe this interaction. Probably the biggest douchebag I've ever known, no matter what he tries to portray himself as on Instagram. A knowledgeable, laid-back hippie, he is not.
Pit Row
Even after he said it's 100% fictional?
😄
Yep. Stand by my comment 100%
I'm not asking if you think Ryno is a tool or not, but rather you saying you believe the story even after he admitted it was all made up.
I ran into DeanO at a LA fitness in Temecula back in 2011 and he was by himself doing his thing, chatted with him a bit. A month or two later I ran into him at a club in old town and was back shootin the shit with him. DeanO always been cool as hell.
Someone posted a picture of RC getting help from a Publix employee when he was having problems with the self checkout in a Facebook group once.
Josh Grant came into the dealership I worked at a few years ago to buy his kid a new Stacyc.
JT also came in with our WPS rep to show the Fly formula off when it first came out as well.
Last time I was at Budds, we got in the elevator to head to breakfast and when we walked in Bobby Ragan and his wife were in there heading down as well.
The age of message boards is dying, sometimes you gotta remind people what fun can be had if you’re a regular. Rocket league, pizza etc.
Did he evert pay Michael Lapaglia's dad the money he owed him?.
Prove it or you’re just another douche bag.
I ran into Trampas Parker while camping in Belgium circa 2001.
Also saw Pat Gomm at the magazine stand in a Fremont California Safeway grocery store back in the 90s.
I saw Deegan doing donuts on some parking lot in his R8. When I was about to introduce myself, the cops arrived and I made my way out just in time.
Comet pizza ☄️🍕🏓
I know this is going to get hate, but me and my wife ran into Haiden Deegan in Nashville 2 years ago the night before Supercross.
He was with his little entourage who seemed a little much, but he was nice enough to stop and take a picture with me and my wife, and multiple other people while walking around Nashville.
