Been in this game for 40 years. Manage a suzuki dealership. Suzuki play a long game. 5 years is nothing. Did you know there was a new drz400 before it was released. Suzuki will be back in motogp. Suzuki will have a new rmz450. Within 12 months

The Suzuki CEO recently said they would be….

I think they would have to buy an existing team? Maybe there is an exception for returning teams? I have seen no signs of Suzuki engaging with any of the teams.

I should have worded that better. I read it as the suspension and the smart phone tuner had been updated. But reading it again it says with updated suspension settings and smart phone tuner you can set you bike up for changing conditions. I really don't know anything other than the bikes still don't have a magic button.

Hopefully they put a halfway reasonable fork spring rate in the 250.

The stock .5 kg springs are insane on what otherwise is among the nicest suspension packages out there, and it comes on an affordable bike.

Do you work at a dealership? What’s the point of updating an app if there’s no battery

Yes, I would think it would require a battery if has smart phone tuning...otherwise it would only be tunable while running.

It's kind of hokey.

The tuner dongle connects to an external battery if you are flashing the maps with the engine off. If they made the device usb-rechargeable battery operated, that would be a big convenience improvement.

So basically is the same system. Man I hope to see this new Rmz as soon as possible.

Suzuki built 15,000 2018 RMZ450’s, that way they could cease all production and the only thing they make are new serial number/date tags.  Supply should run out around 2032.  The. They’ll either produce a new bike or pull the old jigs out and do another run. LOL!

Just kidding for those who don’t possess a sense of humor.  I bleed yellow by the way so there’s that. 👍

It’s got a KYB shock on it though.

The base Suzuki that Kenny and his crew developed is arguably one of the best ever.

Suzuki Japan are in a fucking great position to refine the bike, whilst sticking to the same geometry, they can deliver the most user friendly bike catering to the average rider at a great price.

Roczen and his crew proved to the whole world that the old Zook, at Pro level, can get the job done. We all witnessed it.

Kenny proved that we don't need new untested shit sold at astronomical costs to us every couple of years.

It's a money grab that every year...upgraded stock bike, then the factory edition so on and so forth...we dont need it.

Geezuz...give us a good bike and leave the fucking thing alone for 10 yrs...the cost of new bikes are cutting us people down.

This tongue in cheek post got me thinking..

What if the Suzuki hold-up isn't even the bike itself, but rather shifting production to Thailand?

There is no words about suzuki returning in mxgp in 2027, it's not gonna be before 2028 season.

As for Seewer's picture, it's AI. there is nothing real...

And yes, 2027 models are gonna be shown not before july and if a new model comes, suzuki is gonna do some teaser.

Sadly, at the moment there's no teaser or news about a new bike...

Yes 2027 are already ordered, like the boss of Suzuki Italy recently have talked about it. He don't know if there is gonna be some changes. He said that Japanese are always pretty quiet about it.

So your info is inaccurate, you'll know about the 2027 when Suzuki is gonna release the press sheets. And it seems it's not before July...

Valenti told me that for the 2027 there won’t be any changes except for the suspension, the 450 is going to h mount kyb

That's actually a pretty major change if true.

It's pretty bad to say but when I first looked over the release of select 2027 Suzuki's I slowed down and looked at some of the new colors on some of the street bikes but I blew right past the RM-Z's because they looked identical. The change from Showa to KYB is a major change for a Japanese manufacture. The problem is I don't think that change is enough to trip the excitement meter. It doesn't change my expectations of sales for that model.

Definitely not a major sales trigger, but would be a huge in-generation change if we were talking about any bike other than the RMZ.

Correct. If KTM made no other change other than putting KYB on their bikes it would be headline news.
