I hope they take it easy next year. Their schedule this year is so packed and with moving to the US aswell they basically get 5-6 weeks of actual prep time before A1. Do some selected SX rounds when they feel ready and then and focus on outdoors the first year is what I would like to see. I think specially Lucas will adapt really quick, but 17 SX rounds with just a couple weeks of SX testing for the first time would be crazy.
Seriously. Rushing Lucas into the 17 race sx meatgrinder as a 450 rookie is fraught with disaster. It would be criminal to loses seasons off the career of what's looking like a Jett Lawrence level talent in Lucas because of Circuscross
Props to Pirelli, first win in the USA for a while!
At least one or both of them spent a few weeks here in Texas in the off season riding SX at Masterpool's training facility.

Anyone know which Pirelli they used?
Perhaps @ML512 will include a pic in Pit Bits.
I just want to know who’s motorhome they used over the weekend.
MX32 mid-soft seems to have been their tire of choice. Picture courtesy of Pit Bits.
They where there both but Sacha was recovering from a broken arm from his crash in moto1 of the MXDN. That crazy SOAB road that second moto with that fractured arm but after that he took some time off. Lucas did some SX back then if my sources are on point.
The bike set-up looked way off in the first moto. I don’t know if they were expected different track conditions or made some changes looking for more speed or comfort but the bike looked to have a fair amount of understeer coming down the hills. He looked like Bubba in his 125 days, very fast but in a checkers or wreckers kinda way. Adjustments were made and he was on fire in moto 2. I can’t wait to see him and his brother in the States full time.
Yeah but it’s like a moth to a flame. Even though these guys are young they still have a finite number of shots at SX.
It would seem more practical to race MXGP part season and show up at Pala and race MX and SMX. But sponsors in MXGP would not like that and if the bros want SX, they will get what they want.
Yes, and it's not Pirelli's scoop tire like some people think.
i dont know about that. Lucas has for years been the most stable/least crashing of the two. For sure doing sx on the 250 seems like a better option but to be honest i dont think Lucas is much different to a Prado.
Sascha is a different story :-)
Really like that both guys do these races during a mxgp season. But i hope it wont burn to much energy and causes issues for their mxgp campaign.
