I was curious about that, too. Googling his result says he scored 12 points, but he posted a story with his son to IG about 12 hours ago saying “Rough day at the track…” and he’s not listed in the top 40.
I’m a Forkner fan, but I think that direct to concrete crash was his final boss fight.
Been trying to find out as well. Didn't see his name in the motos when I was actively looking for it. Not in overall results. Shows he qualified 25th on Racer-X. Did he crash in qualifying and pull out?
He had a crash in the 2nd qualifying session, they showed him on the broadcast for a couple seconds while riders went by, he was standing but looked like he had a tough one.

This is correct
Man, what could have been.
Forkner never been the same since that gnarly crash.
So hard to watch it go down like this
Reynard, Canard, AC esq.
Been watching and racing around Austin since he was on a 50. The time to find another path is here it would appear. No shame, he accomplished so much and inspired many. Find something within the sport that you can give back and make a living. Raise the family with the beautiful wife and live on
In b4 pops comes in and says he’s winning an SX title in 2027.
Well they have one child and another on the way, so the family is growing.
I don’t believe it was the crash in Arlington myself, I think it has to do with the other medical issue he had with his brain.
He crashed on RDL in qualifying, they didn't show it but he had a lot of dirt on his back and head, then he wasn't in the motos
big Forkner fan and really hope he's not done
Agreed. It was interesting to hear Jeremy Coker talk about AF a little bit last week on PulpMX, and sort of surmised the same. I'm sure like anything, you get to a point where he's probably made a decent chunk of money over his career and is at the point where his priorities have shifted from calculated risks to parenting.
Can't blame the guy as I'm typing this from the couch!
You would think he's got the moto equivalent of battered woman syndrome, at this point. Just wondering when the next shoe is going to drop. I small mistake on the track doesn't lead to an actual crash but he's unsettled for several laps. I was never really a fan but his talent is undeniable and the dude has never quit. He's been beaten down and just keep rebuilding himself. I wish hin all the success in whatever he chooses to do after mx. You gotta feel like he's not going to do this much longer
Seemed like he was on the right track while working with Ryno, maybe time to get the band back together?
Imagine how different your life would have been with the same level of support.
You know Soggy, why even state this kind of thing? What is to gain? It makes me lose respect for you.
Now if you want to utilize just a hair of observational awareness you can see “Pops” liked my comment and already made you look foolish.
Why people feel a need to act ignorant is beyond me, but you center massed that one fella
Pit Row
Ooo the almighty Mike gave you a like. Congrats. Austin was a great talent. Sucks how his career went. Nothing against Austin just think his dad is a weiner
I'm sure the feeling is mutual....
SMH....some people just can't help being a douchebag...
Yeah, how dare a dad be proud of his professional athlete son...
My oldest never made it to the pros, but he did play Division 1 college soccer, and I wouldn't shut up about the kid.
He still has a lot to offer the sport, but at some point , you have to wise up to the fact that 'believing you can still win' , and actually making that happen, gets harder with time.
He should have stayed 450 , do you think that Marchbanks is suddenly a better rider ?? No he is able to use his technique and skill with the extra power he has, instead of being on the edge of death for 30+2 in 20th on a 250 with a bad start.
Maybe he should try off-road.
Heck, imagine how different his life would’ve been had he had enough oxygen at birth.
What makes you think it was his choice to drop back down to 250’s?
Put a fork in 'em he's done
In b4 soggy comes in and makes himself look like a tool.
You’re too late.
Kinda the same, since the other neural issue was discovered in the Arlington imagery.
Nothing. But it was never going to end well.
