Ya. Clearly. He's also back on a 03 CR250 and even a 01 KX250.

Yeah, just be positive and ignore all the corruption and debauchery of our politicians and the ways they're in bed with Silicon Valley tech companies to erode our freedoms and privacy.

There are forums to discuss politics, no need to bring that crap onto a MOTO message board. There’s even Non-Moto for the ones who can’t help but talk politics all day.
We all have our opinions and to each their own, but it doesn’t have to be brought up in every post.
There’s plenty of members here that are just plain negative and it has nothing to do with politics. I don’t understand what they get out of being hateful and every post has some negative twist to it. I don’t do social media and have no interest in any of it, so I’m sure that helps fuel their fire when stopping by Vital.

The topic of a political PR stunt invites discussion about politics. Noone to blame but yourself for having unrealistic expectations.

I’ll be honest, I expected YOU to be one of the people to add a comment to this post. That’s a realistic expectation that never lets me down. You really need to take a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are who you are.
At least you’re consistent in your posting habits, but that’s not exactly a good thing either.

Some of us are here to shoot the shit about dirt bikes and can refrain from feeling the need to make it political. If this was taking place on Huntington Beach, there’s plenty of people that would somehow make it about politics.
This place use to be a place to get away from the everyday grind and share experiences and opinions about DIRT BIKES and things pertaining to them. The last 6 years have brought in new members that have ruined the vibe and driven off some good people that use to post here. It also brought out the worst in some of the members, mainly political driven posts or just plain hatred.

I was referring to the Instagram, X, Facebook, etc. But you have a point and the infiltration of new members that treat this forum like social media sites is pushing people away from posting here. It’s like a cancer that keeps spreading and it’s too bad, because it was once a great site to visit.

  1. Where are all the political comments about the Arenacross at Huntington Beach from last year?
  2. Are you claiming I'm a new member? The dates by our profile pictures say I've been here longer than you.

You’ve definitely been here long enough to remember when there was no political BS in every other post on here. I actually have been here since the inception of, but didn’t post much and ended up forgetting my screen name/ password, so I opened a new account years later. But that’s irreverent to my point. You have been posting lots of negativity on here lately, what is it that makes it fun for you to talk so much shit and think that’s contributing to other people’s posts ?
I don’t know you and I have no idea what your involvement in this sport consists of, besides what you post on here. I rarely get my panties in a bunch over other people’s posts, I try to just move on, rather than get into a pissing match with others, over what opinions they have. But recently I’ve had some really shitty things happen in my life, including losing my mom and dad and it has made me more irritable and less tolerant of some of the consistency of certain members that post 90% negative. I’ll get over it and hopefully feel different about life, but I’m the meantime, I’m just bummed that this place has turned into what it has become.

Carry on.., I’ll refrain from replying in a negative light, I’m only adding to what I can’t stand about this place. If I can’t ignore it, I’ll quit coming here to get irritated. I guess all good things really do come to an end, it’s just bummer. I’ve met some good dudes in here and have had many of them come out to ride at my property and have developed lifetime friendships. Most of them stopped posting or even reading on here because of the negative energy. Others are feeling the same things and rarely see them posting here.

Sorry you're in a bad mental space right now.

I'm a little confused though, what negativity did I bring to this topic?  Sure I made a joke that RC was announcing, but that's not inherently positive or negative.

IMO it isn't the people but the Thumbs feature that changed the discourse dynamic.   Giving points makes people feel validation, so they come back seeking more, and get frustrated if it doesn't happen.

I won't respond to this any further. Message boards have always been a form of social media. Has Vital grown in recent years? Yes. Has the tenor of the conversations changed? I don't really know, I wasn't here in the before times. That said, just don't engage with these guys like you are here. It only contributes to the social media type thing you proclaim to dislike. Ignore the morons and move on.

I've been riding mx for 34 years at this point, I've been involved on the promotion side, track building side, and indoor stuff as well. I think it's awesome to see Vital and other mx media sites grow like they have. Its more to go round for our little niche sport and that's a good thing.

Spot on. And it's pretty much the same 4 or 5 assholes that blow out every fucking thread.

Fucking shit show.  Especially the dipship aussie, fucking clown.

Riding gear looked so much cooler in that 05-2012 kinda era

I know the tight stuff is far more functional, but the older gear is just cooler.

90’s gear was the best (looking)
