I was at MXDN last year and watched with my own eyes an obviously very very talented 18 year old latched onto Jett most of moto/race 1. He made some mistakes and faded a bit at the end but hes a kid, fearless, fast and crazy impressive. I love it! Im really excited to see what another half year on the fo fiddy has done. Lets all hope tgey bring it and some needed excitement to the gate!

Amazing ride as an 18 year old first time on a 450. To be within 7 seconds of arguably the best motocross racer in the world currently and at his home soil to boot.

Arguably? Come on mate...

The mentality change I was referring to fuckwit was that if a champion finds himself out of a championship(because of a crash or DNF) that they would not stop trying and their mentality would change from championship mode to trying to win every remaining race to prove that they are still the best and not fold and just ride it out as you stated. Considering all the circumstances, I believe Lucas to run 5-8 with a decent start.
Sasha probably around the same.

All because lack of time in the states, bikes, new tracks and all the other dynamics.

Also nothing worth risking the world championships for either of the brothers. Get their feet wet and see what it all about.

No they are not. They're Australian.

I have a different out look than most.  If you live here and pay taxes you are American to me.

Pretty clear that when there is nothing or a lot on the line, riders tend to play it safe more than not. That's why third race in triple crowns is a snoozer more often than not. Or Gajser put it on auto pilot taking top 10 to save the Championship. Or Tomac let Herlings go without a fight.

And please can't you stay away from posting in my thread when your first post is personal stuff and not adding value on the topic? Feels a bit creepy, like you are stalking me... 😂3878 4.jpg?VersionId=yKLB

It’s pretty obvious they’re non identical twins. I’m sure it’s 2 sperm pregnant 2 eggs so they’re basically like any other siblings but they just happen to be born on the same day. Non identical twins normally run in the family. Identical twins are a freak of nature.

When was the last time the points leaders of both MXGP classes raced a national mid season?

Has it ever happened?

He gets the number 1 trophy and Jett gets the 2nd place trophy.

I hear ya. I was throwing a jab at my own ignorance and lack of attention to mxgp. I had heard of the brothers and saw clips of them on the bike but never really followed the series until this year. So last year at nations my neanderthal brain had a moment when they walked right on by.

As one of the largest Jett fans in here I would not be surprised if Coenen beats him.

A 100% Jett is the best in the world hands down, but with the current situation I would not bet my house on it.

Not really, just saying Jett currently handling Deegs. If Coenen handles Jett it was the right decision for Deegs to turn down representing the USA as it would’ve took away his claim of fastest 250 rider in the world

Myself, I don't think it would happen. I hope Jett goes 2-1 and Coenen gets 1-2. Now THATS a REAL rivalry! And they could only meet up a few times a year at the very most. That might be the beginning of a decade long rivalry. Then Deegan would have to find a new "rival" one a bit more on his level. hahaha

Or what happens if Jett hurts his foot again? Coenen gets hurt? What would happen to the MXGP world if Coenen doesn't even get on the podium?

well, it would mean there is another rider out there Deegs can't beat.......i know - the Dangerboyz will have a hard time believing this

But Jett is back riding at 100% of his pace, isn't he? Both tracks so far has been pretty ugly beaten down. Southwick could be special when he needs to hang of the bike more but this weekend should be ok.

The gap in lap times and win margin is identical to last year so if he has more in the tank, then he has not only been able to sustain his speed but actually increased the top level he can go to which sounds like a stretch?

I know it sounds strange, but unless everyone else has gone backwards for this year, Jetts not going to get "better".
