Kawasaki is bringing the two stroke back!

Will the new KX have a four stroke like rev limiter like the TBI KTMs, or will they still rev until they physically can’t anymore like a traditional two stroke?

Im very interested in the fork angle of the woods bike vs the mx, on the 4 strokes the woods bike is steeper, If that is the case on these bikes Ill get the MX version

Where are you getting this information? The current kx250x and 450x use the same frame and triple clamps as the standard versions, so I'm not seeing how they have a different angle.

I tried staying up late here in Aust to make the announcement. Felt like April fools logging onto Vital to see ML’s video. Absolutely nailed it Kawi! Wow. This is exactly what the industry needed. I can see a door opening big time for more Japanese support now in all forms of off road racing. Damn I feel we willed it to happen in here, what a journey. We believed! Great day to be a Moto fan.

I honestly can't believe it.  I wanted it to be true but was pessimistic.  I'm so glad to have been wrong.

You need a different dealer!

Find one that actually gives a fu*k. Mine knows all about the new bikes, including the new 327, and will be ordering them in the next week.

Stop being a sucker of these rip off dealers. You shouldn't have to beg them to sell you a bike.

Pretty sure a FI 2 stroke requires a limiter to prevent damaging the engine

Well looky there!  I've got a dealer less than 10 miles away.  Time to find out if they can get me an X model.1000004851 0.jpg?VersionId=cecr

And that was over 8 months ago, so obviously privy to inside info (I'm not buying a crystal ball or wild-guess explanation! 😄).

Unfortunately even the Japanese are using electronics made in China on all the current OEMs

Well...I have to admit, I was WRONG... I didn't believe a 2-stroke would emerge this day an age, but I was wrong. I had a stronger belief in the surron crowd...but what do I know as I have never even ridden one Smile

Good luck to Kawasaki. Will be interesting to see if this will be good business for them... I shouldn't predict, since I was wrong Smile

What do you think I said that wasn't true?  I'm suspecting we might have a reading comprehension issue on our hands.

I've read all that, thanks. I'm specifically looking for the bore and stroke. queen of spodes said the new engine had a 76mm stroke, but didn't list the bore. I'm curious if this is accurate and would like to see the actual data. Have you seen the bore and stroke listed somewhere?

 With a 74mm bore and 76mm stroke, you'd get 326.906cc.

As close to a '327', as you're going to get!

The Beta 350  went up to a 73.6 stroke   -  only a little bit more than a  near 'traditional' 72mm  on most 250  / 300 2 strokes, I'd think, to keep piston speed down, so as not to lose revs.

But, you never know. Smaller piston = lighter weight, may be an offset to the longer stroke.

Should be a Great thing, whatever B & S it has!

You would need wristpin location to know for sure.

The fact that you are resorting to insults demonstrates you do not have evidence to support the point you are trying to make.

I thought they were brown incontinence pads taped to the top of their heads to soak up sweat.

You’re not far off the mark with the battery and electric start. Somebody else pointed it out to me, but if you look at the picture, it does not even have a kicker.
