I'm not an insider, i have no first hand knowledge of Jason Anderson's situation, but he done.
He’s back on the bike but we probably won’t see him until WSX
The team says he is still on the team. They gave him a bike to ride last week. He is still working on getting healthy. He wants to do WSX. We will see.

Personally I think he was screwed by the industry around him and it has just made matters worse for the guy. Hell who hasn't been in a tiff with a spouse every so often? And all it takes is one false accusation and poof, you're guilty until proven innocent. I hope to see the guy back racing forward and not looking back at some possible BS from a pissed off spouse.
Just the messenger: Jason came forward and made an official statement taking responsibility for his actions and the entire situation. No more story…
It would be a damn shame if that's how he went out after such a great career, but I have a feeling he'll be back.
He isn't listed as a rider on their website. Where are they stating he is still on the team?
Im interested to find out if he comes back. May be an unpopular opinion and I know he cleary fucked up big time but I hope this isn't how he goes out.
there was a whole thread on this that got shut down, but as you can see based on your ratio, it was about 70/30 white knights / sovereign men
Exactly!
Most of the biggest falls from grace in MX history (Ron Lechien, Jeff Emig, Jason Lawrence, Nico Izzi for example) came back or at least had the opportunity to come back. Talent at that level is so rare that there is always someone ready to step up with sponsorship. These are dirt bike racers, it's not like the bar for ethics is all that high.
People forget that Lechien and Emig, two of the most admired riders now, were complete pariahs at one point. They were cautionary tales. Examples of people that had it all but squandered it.
Nothing sovereign about the man in that photo.
Agreed.
The 250 days when he repeatedly ran down Seely in the final laps, made me a fan.
To me, he always just seemed like one of those people who would wind up bringing this sort of mess upon himself. Like he was untouchable or would come out unscathed in the end. And there was a different set of rules for him.
Can't say I, or anyone else that I know, has ever grabbed my wife by the throat or put her on the ground. The dude doesn't deserve another shot at a ride when there's plenty of younger, less shit bag people that do. I've been a fan of his since he turned pro but at some point these guys don't deserve to be heroes anymore

What I find interesting is how the whole media industry seemingly got a memo to act like JA never even existed? If he comes back, which I hope he does, are they just going to act like he never left? Kinda weird.
What new information is there worth reporting on? JA is taking time off and not part of a race effort. How should that lack of news be covered exactly?
LeChein was kind of disliked because he HATED testing and rarely practiced. He'd show up at the race and either just kick ass or barely make it. Ahhhh...the good 'ol days.
Poor Fro, a little weed and a coke can………
Just so we all know, Jason isn’t racing because of a thyroid problem, not because of his personal problems. He has been struggling with this for 2 years.
You should know better than this…..people around here don’t like facts….
Very true. So lame by comparison today.
There are a variety of treatments for thyroid issues, if they've know that it's been a problem for two years, why have they not gotten it sorted? Any decent endocrinologist can figure that out with simple bloodwork and would start you on treatment right away.
Pipes said on it Pulp after Kenny won the championship that Kenny and Ando are in for WSX.
Dustin Pipes stated on Pulp a couple weeks ago he should be back on a bike soon, and most likely a yellow one.
Beat me to it.
I’m not his Dr so I can’t tell you how they are treating it, I just know it caused weight issues , and he can’t train the way he wants without heavy fatigue.
Post a reply to: Any word on Jason Anderson?
