I never had much of an opinion on Israel, Jews, antisemitism, etc until now. I've lived in Massie's district for 15 years and he has always been very popular here. In no sane world does Ed Gallrein beat him and I think there's a good chance the district flips in the general election as the dem candidate is as normal as a dem candidate gets.
The election was carried by boomers. Trump endorsement and an insane amount of Israel's money convinced them to vote massie out even though they have no idea why. Now AIPAC is doing victory laps and taking full credit, Trump is joking about polling at 99% in Israel like it's a good thing, and I'm out on all of it.
Not another dime for them. Let them fight their own wars. I hope Israel has an exit strategy because the boomers aren't going to live forever. The younger generations aren't falling for it.
Where are you at on this one, MAGA? Massie stood for everything conservatives used to claim they stood for and he's not the one who changed.
aw man the leopards finally got your face. sorry about that.
Social media strikes again.
You nailed it. Trump turned Israel first and Massie didn't. Sad to see. I also never gave the Israel lobby much thought but I saw what they could do a couple years back in another Congressional race. Look up Jamaal Bowman. At the time it turned into the most expensive House race. This time the Israel lobby backed a Democrat in a primary. They don't much care. They simply wont tolerate any criticism of Israel by an any American and they will spend whatever it takes to silence critics.
Funded by the U.S. tax payer since 1948. I believe a Kennedy wanted to reign in some of their power, and they made it pretty clear that wouldn't be happening.

seems to be true on vital and in KY, boomers are totally cool with pedophilia
Someone wanna show us this "$20 Million from Israel"...?
Then there's Massie's PAC money....how clean is that?
Goin' down the rabbit hole ain't new.
It’s not from Israel so there is that.
Did you read the posts above....?
AIPAC is openly bragging about how much money they spent on this. The funding sources for the super PACs are known. You can try to obfuscate if you want to but denying this part is just head in the sand type stuff. If they're going to be this open about it the least you can do is admit it to yourself. If you want to hang your hat on the fact that the funds didn't come directly from Israel I guess you can make that argument.
Everyone says "Israel". All the while, AIPAC seems to be a pro-Israeli American PAC.
I'm thinking there's more Lockheed Martin-Boeing-Raytheon dollars in there than actual $ from Israel.
Obfuscate...head in the sand...hang your hat...all of it...
Thrown at someone looking for actual clarification in a world where people throw shit around as "facts" without ever validating their...
Facts.
Hence, my original question and the point at hand.
But, that's ok. Everyone gets worked up and everyone has their guy...or so I'm told, no...make that..."Or so I'm accused".
You're not a victim here, you're just wrong about the general source of the funding against massie and wanted to "both sides" the issue instead of addressing it.

Yeah, this shit they've pulled on Massie is a damn shame. It's sickening how they went after him full bore, because he had the balls to demand things that the people were already promised.
Not implying victimization. Stating that I've been accused of "MAGA this" or "Trump that", etc. ...and it's funny. Just go look at some of the Kooky shit that gets thrown around these parts. They've probably done it to you, too.
Also, to be clear...I don't call AIPAC "Israel" or anything of that nature. Hence, "...took $20 million in donations from Israel..." and that's where this whole thread seems to go...."Israel". No worries. Same as it ever was, same as it ever was.
Another-thing, I don't see Massie as any kind of saint or exception. Just another Politician, to me. He was opportunistically conservative, from where I'm standing.
Signed,

You don't think the American Israel Public Affairs Committee gets money from Israel?
YOU CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP 🤣
Pit Row
Massie was an engineer who made good money on some start ups and built his off the grid house on his wife's family's land. Was libertarian long before he was a politician and ran for office after being inspired by rand paul. Been in office for years and is still the same guy he was before he ever thought about running for office. He's one of the good ones, that's what makes this one sad.

You’re kind of proving truck’s point while still trying to dodge the obvious conclusion.
Nobody serious is claiming Netanyahu wired $20M directly into a candidate’s checking account. When people shorthand it as 'Israel money', they’re referring to AIPAC and other pro-Israel PACs spending enormous amounts to influence US elections around Israeli policy. That’s plainly what happened here. You’re focusing on semantic precision while sidestepping the practical reality everyone else is discussing.
It’s sort of like arguing “Technically the cigarette didn’t cause the fire, combustion did". Sure, but everyone still understands what started the fire.
Also, the 'I’m not claiming victimhood' part is pretty funny considering half your post was about being “accused” of MAGA this and Trump that. Nobody was even discussing your personal identity until you brought it up yourself. The topic was AIPAC spending, not Manny's persecution lore.....
Well they’re doing a pretty good job of pushing me from Libertarian to Anarchist that’s for sure.
Look, you guys are running with a crowd of social-media spewing goofs and it bit you in the ass.
As I originally spoke to…”took $20 million in donations from Israel”…and other X posted drama…
Never-mind where Massie’s money came from…right?
The best part? Apl trying to explain -anything- to me.
No worries. Again, for posterity…
Welcome to politics.
37-0.
Nobody 'got bit in the ass'. People were discussing massive pro-Israel PAC spending tied to Israel policy interests, and you clearly understood that from the beginning. You just preferred turning it into a semantic detour instead of addressing the actual scale of the spending.
And 'Apl trying to explain anything to me' is peak Manny. All that was missing was a dramatic digression about how unfairly you’re treated around here.
🍿ready
This election was pushed over the line by a bunch of brain baked boomers. You know, the same voters who voted us into 30 trillion in debt over the last 40 years. Worst fucking loser generation in history. 32 million coming from pro Israel pacs. There is no other country in the world that has even one percent the influence on our elections as Israel. " But they are Americans" What a pantload.
Nothing to see here. Ignore the man behind the curtain.
Might open the door for losses during the general. Which is the election that matters. We’ll see.
$30 trillion was 4 years ago...
It's now $39 trillion...
There's going to be another election?
Well said truck. The Zionist are a global cancer. Before anyone gets their banana hammocks all twisted up, I have nothing against your average Jewish folk. The Zionist though, they are flat out fucking crazy.
