Somebody remember how that season actually went down. Outside of Washougal, I can't remember a race Deegan was faster. Hunter would pass him like it was nothing

I reckon Cole signs one year (450) deals with Star with a option to stay for a second year allowing him the freedom to team up with Jett at Honda when the time comes.
And Hunter was injured to start that season

It was one race, it didn't obliterate any narrative. That's just things you tell yourself so you have a comfort blanket. By far and large, Deegan has dominated the class, and no one can deny that.

I think this season if Deegan and Cole could race without worrying about winning a championship and simply race with each letting it all hang out, I think Haiden wins 6-7 times out of 10 races. Cole said numerous times this year on each east west shootout (except for SLC), he was solely focused on winning his championship and didn't want to focus on anything else. Not sure why Deegan fans can't accept that fact. Cole wasn't giving it 110% earlier and wasn't going to risk going down or getting injured. I know that's a really hard pill for Deegan fans to swallow. SLC was the only race this year where they could both race all out with no fucks given on the race outcome in terms of crashing. And, look who came out on top. Best 250 race of the season, by far. Cole ran him down, roughed him up Deegan style on the pass, and won the race. Deegan tried 2-3 times to catch him and rough him back up and ended up crashing out. Davies made a statement. I still believe Deegan wins 6-7 out of 10 races against Cole given their age and race experience. But if you look at where Cole is today versus where Deegan was at Cole's stage of his career, Cole is ahead. Same for comparing Cole to Jett. Cole is a freak.
I think getting punted by Deegan last year was the best thing to happen to him. He went from fast amateur prospect to fast rookie who was stoked to be there, to race winner and potential championship winner in his rookie year.
He started off this season with an arsehole attitude which many including me wasn't a fan of, but I get it. Had he played things a bit different and a few things fallen his way, he could have been champion last year. It was a wake up call that not only does he have the talent and speed to hang with/ beat the top guys, he can't fuck around and needs to lock in and that's exactly what he did. In 2 years, he's going to be a problem for everyone in 450s
No doubt. I just stopped wasting my time responding to the so called super fans. I actually like Deegan but I also like calling it like I see it. Davies was on it. Gets me excited for the next 5 years of this sport.

It’s Cole’s second year as a pro. Deegs dominated outdoor by his second year. So did Jett. In Deegs’ rookie MX season he was only -3pts down on Hunter after he eviscerated the class at Washougal (Rd8) and then his bike blew up at Unadilla the next week and he DNFd. If his fortunes worked out differently he was very much in contention for that title.
He was only -3pts out of first in the points after round 8 until he DNFd at dilla the next week. If -3pts from first with three rounds remaining isn’t title contention, then I’m sorry for interrupting, carry on with the meth.
Agree with ya about last season and you know he didn’t forget about it. I don’t think he has an attitude, just seems like a small neuro quirk. Almost reminds me of Tomac and how he also comes off as robotic. Cole clearly doesn’t like to have to go in front of the camera and that is projected every single race.

I don’t think that’s the problem at all. With a name like Superfan 38 and anyone who has an actual clue about racing knows Deegan got his ass kicked, I think I know what the problem is
Leave it to the bed bugs to somehow make everything about Deegan. SMH. Good ride Cole, and also impressed how Deegan took it on the chin, seems like he’s growing up, even if the bed bugs aren’t.

It's a big folder, too. Takes up most of my hard drive space. But who doesn't have folders on their computer? I'm not gonna ask you what's on yours because I don't want to know. Probably creepy stuff. But I'll tell you this much; I named my Deegan folder, "Meme Master Deegan Making Grown Men Cry".

Still reads as a bully pretending to laugh along so he’s not the butt of the joke to me. The look on his face when he tries to laugh it off always seems forced.
His whoop speed is like playing a video game and just keeping the bike WOT and just leaning back. His ability to just fly through them is impressive, among other parts of his riding ability
