When I was a kid I got a pair of goggles from a pro (can’t remember who) and they had a pad up on the top foam for extra absorption 😂😂😁😁
Webb gave Stayfree some free tv time on the line this past Saturday night . Let’s hear JT explain this new outside sponsorship to the uninformed viewers. 🤣
I live in Texas and I sweat a lot, sometimes you have to swallow some dignity and get creative lol

Who’s riding in these this weekend?? I saw that 6D is saying early May for a restock. Are they worth the wait for YOU?
I received my pair yesterday but like an idiot i didn't order tear offs, so I'm reluctant to race in them tomorrow. Chance of wet stuff too so im not sure ill muddy them up just yet. Theyre...... Unique... But man the increase in field of vision is something else. Im amped on seeing how they feel while riding.
I've always wondered why no goggle brand makes their own absorbent pads to sell? I think dudes who don't even sweat that much would run them just to look pro lol.
6d makes something now but it is washable. https://www.6dhelmets.com/collections/max-goggle/products/halo-6d-skull…

Got my first ride in on a set and overall have good things to say.
I ate a ton of roost on an intermediate/sandy track and had zero dirt intrusion. Feel like my prospects would have let a little bit in.
Breathing felt a little better and field of view is a lot different but felt like I acclimated pretty quickly.
I'm a heavy sweater and usually get sweat on the inside of my lens even when swapping goggles every moto. I ran one set of 6D goggles all day for 4 motos and some dealer demo rides in between without a drop on the lens (high was only 65degF and sunny). The only foam is on your nose so you don't really have the same foam saturation problem. Jury is still out on higher temps and curious about the skull cap.
Taking them on/off is a bit more cumbersome but maybe just need some practice. I think they feel hotter than a standard goggle while stationary but as good or better when riding.
Unfortunately my order got cancelled so Ill have to wait until may to snag some. I dunno why they just didn't put me on back order and sent them out once In-Stock. I had no issues waiting.
Im also looking to pick up the ATR-3X later on this year as well.
Matthes said Noren threw his goggles yesterday.
I could see fogging being an issue with such a large lens.
I mean it was raining so there’s always that, too…
Absolutely that contributed as well. Several of the injection molded lens goggles have issues with fogging so this isn’t unique. But being able to have more lens down by your mouth and nose I could see it being harder to manage.
That's my guess. Water behind lens or in tear offs. With most goggles any rain or crud from top of helmet falls in front of the goggles. These look to almost have a ridge where things could get in unless sealed really well.
I didn’t even think about tear offs since pretty much everyone has the perimeter sealed laminates. Do they make them for these? Total game changer for the rain.
Pit Row
Currently they only have laminated tear-offs but single tear-offs are supposed to be out soon.
That being said, last week I had the "pleasure" of riding in the rain and was surprised by how well I could see. Idk if just coincidence or what but I could see the water drops falling pretty heavy and they weren't collecting on my lens. I just had a single laminated tear off on the lens. I wonder if the larger/more curved area allows the water to shed more.
I wouldn't write these things off straight away. Im just getting back into riding now winter is over and the first few rides having a moto goggle on compared to my snowboard goggle felt super claustrophobic.
The field of vision you loose in a moto goggle is huge. These look pretty interesting. Id love to have my snowboard vision whilst riding. I never realised how tunnel vision standard moto goggles give you.
I rode in mine for the first time over the weekend. I was digging the field of view for sure. The one thing ill have to overcome is the odd feeling of nothing touching my face above my eyebrows. It was a bad thing, but 30+ years of sealed off goggles has a certain feel that's been engrained. I tried both nose pieces and both had very minimal contact with my nose. Im hoping this doesn't create a place for dirt or sand to sneak in. I also hope it doesn't let enough air in to dry out my contacts. I didn't get enough time in with them to tell because it was a bit sticky and I still don't have tear offs, but I had to try them for one session.
Anyone know what the little open cell foam piece's are for?
Also, the extra piece that sticks to the helmet (or goggle?) is confusing.. its double sided tape. Which one do i stick it to and my simple brain cant see a way to effectively remove both coverings (exposing both sides of adhesive) without creating a surface for dust to stick to.
This should answer your questions. They prob should've put a link in the box.
