My 1988 Mazda SE5 was a great small truck.  Look at that, bikes in and the tail gate up.  I didn't need no stinking king cab!

Guys I’m glad this thread is up.
I recently “invested” some time and effort into my little track car. Now, with the roof rack and basket I get 24mpg. It’s kinda to the point now where I’m wondering if a lil truck would do better. Mavericks are gay honestly I wouldn’t wanna daily it but they sure are handy.

Any ideas?

As the owner of a super duty, F150 and now a maverick i have to say your comment is not true. The mav is not slow and will tow my 12’ cargo trailer or even short haul my 22’ cc boat with a tandem trailer. I put the husky on a hitch rail and the gear in the bed. Easy for us old guys who are pushing 70 to load/unload. Yup getting 4x the fuel economy over my super duty and doing the job 90% of the time for under 30k works for us.

Any time I see an 01 XR I have to get a close look at the flywheel cover for a deep gouge where my brother ran into me, since my 01 XR80 got stolen. Lucky for you you've got a 100 😉

lol! I’ve owned this bike for 15 years, I ride it more than my 250.

But it got stolen 23 years ago, I can't see the flywheel cover, and you might have just bought 100 shrouds to cover your tracks... 🤔 I'm back to being suspicious.

Croom?  You should recreate that photo - that little bench in the background is still there, right at the entrance to the sand pit.

I meant hauling anything in the bed. For what I do I need more than a 4'x4' box to put stuff in.

My Maverick was Gray, not gay. Never saw 1 in Rainbow paint at the dealers. The Frontier is a much better truck for my needs.

I’ve had this truck 22 years! My dad bought it new in 83 and I bought it from him when I was in high school.

THIS WAS PEAK RIZZ IN THE EARLY 80S. LIFTED TACO ON CHROME WAGON WHEELS WITH A CHROME GRILL GUARD AND LIGHT BAR. ADD A COUPLE KC LIGHTS, A DIRT BIKE IN THE BED  AND YOU WERE THE COOLEST GUY IN TOWN. YOU EARNED EXTRA STYLE POINTS FOR THE CHROME WHEELS INSTEAD OF THE WHITE VERSION AND THE CHROME GRILL GUARD AND LIGHT BAR INSTEAD OF BLACK.

My brother pulls 3500lbs trailers and hauls full sheets of plywood in his bed, what else are you needing to do with it? I figured if you require a full size you'd probably buy one, people in this thread are looking for moto hauling rigs, not horse hauling rigs.

Do people from the mid west think that haul means pull?  When I say haul it's stuff in the bed..

I’d prefer a brand new 1981 RM125X in the bed. I only have a few regrets in life, and one of them is buying the Yamaha that year instead of the Suzuki.
